One of the best trips ever. Its a very very long day but so worth it. Pickup around 1am and then drop off the next day around 1am. Our guide for Petra was really good and informative. We had plenty of time to check out most of the ancient city. The cost of the trip covers everything and no extra visas or anything are needed

Great site to visit. It’s a little bit of a travel, but so worth it. Be prepared to a lot of walking and spending time on the bus. However, rare site to visit so would recommend it.

Fabulous day but not for the faint-hearted - it’s a long day! However, the rewards are on an epic scale.
Lovely guide at Petra itself. When we were picked up from our hotel we could have done with some form of communication about what was going to happen in terms of the various modes of transport. We didn’t really know what was going on and there was a lot of confusion. (Take warm clothes for the boat and a pen for all the forms.) Having said all that, Petra is awe inspiring.

We were picked up by "Book Tour Egypt" from our hotel in Sharm el Sheikh at 1:00 a.m. After two more hotels and a 30-minute drive, we stood at the side of the road for another 30 minutes waiting for other travelers who were being picked up by other shuttle buses. After less than an hour's drive, we stopped at a gas station for a 30-minute stop to go to the toilet and have a smoke break. Then we finally headed towards Taba and from there took the jet ferry to Aqaba. Once there, we were assigned to our guide (unfortunately he didn't speak German). Instead of doing the two-hour drive in one go, after an hour's drive we stopped at a souvenir shop at an altitude of 1,600 m and an outside temperature of 5 degrees for a full hour. When we finally arrived in Petra, it was already just before noon. We were then shown the restaurant where we would eat at 3:00 p.m. and then we headed towards the world wonder Petra. There we stood for another 30 minutes and waited for our guide. Then we went through the 1.6 km long canyon towards the Treasury. Here our guide explained and showed us everything. When we arrived at the Treasury, he just told us how long it would take us from which point to get back to the exit. So we only had 2 hours to visit the entire complex, including the journey there and back through the canyon... an absolute disgrace. If the usual cruise ships had docked in Aqaba that day, we probably wouldn't have seen anything of Petra. After eating, the way back was the same as the way there, just in reverse and with an additional second stop at a supermarket. We arrived at the hotel at 00:50. With a total trip duration of almost 24 hours, we would never have thought that we would only see 2 hours of what we actually paid for. We can only recommend that you find out as much as you can before booking this trip. The Hohberg family from Hamburg

We are a family of three. Our daughter is 8 years old. We were picked up from the hotel at 1.00 am. We went through 4 more hotels and the bus was full. We traveled 4.30 hours to the ferry. Before boarding we passed through the Egyptian border. The security was rude. They were going to take my camera because zoom was not allowed. They caused me stress and frustration. The camera was subsequently returned to me. They put us on the ferry, which was very old. We traveled for 1 hour. Fasting our tour guide. At the Jordanian border, the staff were kind and smiling (right across from the Egyptian border, where they treated us like prisoners). We traveled a few hours to Petra. It was comfortable and pleasant. Our tour guide Karim was amazing. Arriving in Petra it was cold and windy. We had time for photos, but not enough time for a full tour (the place is huge). Then it was our lunch, which was very tasty and a lot of everything. We returned the same way we arrived. It is good for people to know about the cameras that are and are not allowed across the Egyptian border. Also that the climate and temperatures are very different in Jordan from Egypt. Huge thanks to the driver and our guide Karim.

We had long dreamed of visiting the wonderful Petra, we fantasized a lot looking at the photos of the various tourists who, like us, were lucky enough to admire such beauty.
We called it DREAM.
For the excursion we relied on the Tour Egypt agency, friendly, nice, very professional and helpful with everything like every excursion we do.
They offered us lunch in a really nice little restaurant nearby with good food (be careful, drinks are not included, you have to pay for them at the end of the meal).
The bus journey is a little long due to the various checks and changes of means of transport, but the effort will be rewarded for you.
SUPER RECOMMENDED AT LEAST ONCE IN A LIFETIME.

Yes, it’s a long day but So worth it! The journey time was broken up well with the boat trip and regular toilet/ snack stops. Our guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable and humorous. The place is incredible and definitely worth a visit. The lunch included was plentiful and delicious. I would totally recommend this experience!
