This was not a good tour. The tour guide was not a knowledgeable source of information. There was no time built in to eat until the end. We were in Paris and had to eat fast food at the train station There were two tours to choose from and one was labeled ‘sold out’ but the tours combined into only 10 people. Very misleading advertising. I would recommend against using Viator to book trips to anyone who asked

Our tour included some of the major attractions such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and a boat cruise on the River Seine. Our tour guide, Ami, was very knowledgeable of the area, having lived in Paris, and did a great job in managing our time to ensure we saw the attractions. Our driver was absolutely amazing in navigating the chaotic streets of Paris.

The drawback of this tour is the limited time you have at each location. Having never taken Eurostar before, I think either Golden Tours or Viator needs to do a better job in preparing its guests for what to expect when you arrive at the train station and where the tour guide will meet you when arriving in Paris. It took us a few minutes to find Ami amongst the crowd of passengers from other trains.

Overall, I think this tour is a great way of getting a glimpse of what Paris has to offer and where you would want to spend more time for a future stay in the city.

the customer service and the tour guide Arthur was terrible. The tickets were not sent the day before, so we were unable to print or download them. Arthur made us miss out on the tour inside the Eiffel tower which was the main attraction. he said it was 2 hour wait, he took us across the road from the arc de triomphe. we had to wait in line for all the attractions, and he would just disappear. Some passengers got left behind in gare du nord because there was no sign saying Universal Tours and the Arthur the tour guide did not wait or made an attempt to ensure that everyone on the list was accounted for. We did not get to eat or any time for shopping. The places were lovely but the customer service was horrible

Our trip to Paris was beyond wonderful. The sights, food everything was amazing BUT I must say the Absolute Best was Ricki Stevensons "Black Paris Tour? It is a must for anyone that wants to expand their mind about the Paris that nobody knows unless they take the Tour. If I come back to PARIS I would take the tour again. It is an all inclusive tour of Paris. The guides are spectacular in their knowledge, wit and presentation from beginning to end.
Hats off to Ricki Stevenson and her team-Aleta

We did the guided day trip to Paris with Eiffel Tower, River Cruise and Louvre and had a terrible experience.

Our tour guide was a college kid named Pedro and did not communicate well with our group. We were about 12 people in our group and has to ask questions to find out where the bus driver was taking us .

The first thing he did was to take us to a small gift shop to use a non functional bathroom for a group of 4 -5 families. Then we stood in line to get our tickets for 3 hours at the Eiffel Tower. When we asked him if the lunes re long every day, he said its just today because all entry towers are closed except for one. Later he confessed that it is every day routine and that his company cannot get the tickets prior to the day of arrival and everyone has to stand in line along with other visitors who are buying tickets . After wasting 3 hours standing under the sun with little kids and seniors in our group, we were only given 40 minutes from the time to get in the elevator to see the second floor and reach back the bottom of the tower. No time to eat or look around because it was super crowded and we lost the time in line .

After getting out of the tower , he tells us that we do not have time to do the river cruise and the Louvre and that we will skip the cruise and the company will refund that amount to every family. We were taken to the Louvre and same thing there as we were running short of time. He told us to meet him at the entrance of the museum in 45 minutes or else we will miss our Eurostar. Everyone in the group was tired and exhausted all day long and basically just stuck to each other and survived by sharing whatever snacks we all had because we did not get time to buy any gifts and get any food at either place.

When we got back home and I did not hear back from Golden Tours for weeks , I emailed the customer service about the refund of the river cruise for my family of 3 . We got a refund of $22 total on a day trip that costed us $1425 total. The 1 hour cruise cost is $ 18 per person and we did not get any response back when I asked for an explanation from Golden Tours on this matter. I reached out to other families who were in our group and no one got any refund and chose not to use Golden Tours on their next trip.

I would give ZERO stars if that were an option! This tour was a scam. The only part of the tour that went as planned was the train from England to France because we already had the tickets in hand!!! It started off with our tour guide not knowing where the bus and driver were when we arrived in France! She had to repeatedly call, only to tell us that he was 45 minutes away, while she had us all standing on a street corner. While waiting for the delayed bus, our tour guide would not let people go to the bathroom saying the ones in the train station were dirty/ you had to pay for them, and she would take us to a better one when the bus arrived. According to the written itinerary, we were supposed to get a “dazzling panoramic tour of the city” on our way to the Eiffel tour, however this was definitely not the case. Our tour guide and driver took us down back roads, not pointing out anything, and when we asked what certain monuments/statues were, the response was “I don’t know”. After driving around for about 45 minutes and passing right in front of the Eiffel Towers gate, they drove a few blocks away down a back street and stopped us on a corner, saying this was where we would use the toilet! She directed all 17 of us into a tiny gift shop that was about 10ft x 10ft and no bathroom in sight! She told us it was at the back of the store. We had to move metal shelves out of the way to even find the bathroom. It obviously was not a public bathroom! It was small, dirty, grungy and had no toilet paper and only one person could go at a time! All the while our tour guide is out front, laughing and talking with the owner of the store. He handed her a credit card and she handed him something back. It seemed super sketchy! All of us felt that he was a boyfriend or personal contact and that something felt very off!!! We kept asking if we could get our tickets and head to the Eiffel Tower. She said “No, I need to keep everyone together”! We were at this dinky shop for an hour and a half WAITING?. We finally arrive at the Eiffel Tower and there are plenty of clean bathrooms we could have used and many people could have gone at the same time - and there was NO CHARGE TO USE!!! We go through security which took another 30-40 minutes. The guide then proceeds to separate people into different groups after telling us she can’t do that! Some of us went to get in Line to go up the Tower. She had another group of people going to eat lunch! After standing in line for about 30 minutes, she comes over and tells us that we need to get out of line and do the boat tour because the other people are eating lunch on boats instead of on the tour like they thought! So we get out of line and head out the gate and get on a boat where we are told we need to eat lunch - the only thing they had was vending machines. So 2 sodas and 2 bags of chips for over 20 euros was our lunch (after thinking we purchased a nice lunch and would be eating on the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower). Quite a disappointment! After a one hour boat ride where the tour group definitely WAS NOT TOGETHER -we head back to the Tower again! The line had tripled at this point from earlier in the day, so we not only had to go through security again- we had to stand in the heat to get back in line to go up the Eiffel Tower again. Right when we got to the place to buy tickets it was 4:15 pm - one of the people on the tour announced that the Louvre was closing at 6 pm and that the last group allowed in would be at 5 pm! Everyone started to freak out. So the tour guide said “well we can’t do both, so we need to decide what you want to see”! Everyone was livid! We wanted to see both and had PAID TO SEE BOTH!!!!! She said she thought the museum was open until 9 pm! A tour guide should KNOW THESE THINGS AND HAVE A CONCRETE PLAN IN PLACE!!!During the day she kept telling us she didn’t know what certain monuments were around the city. She was completely UNPREPARED FOR OUR TOUR AND DIDN’T HAVE A CLUE WHAT SHE WAS DOING! After everyone finished seeing the Eiffel tower, she had the bus driver take us to the Louvre for pictures, so in her words - “we’d have the memories of seeing it”! No one paid all that money to come travel to France to see the OUTSIDE of the Louvre! It was horrible!!!!! She kept saying we could go another day! NO WE COULDN’T! This was a once in a lifetime trip for most of us, and the only thing we got to see in France was the Eiffel Tower! We asked if we could still get our panoramic sightseeing tour of the city and she said no! That we needed to get back to the train station! (3 HOURS EARLY, I might add) Personally, we feel we should get a 100% REFUND ON THE TOUR!!!! We bought the tour through Viator- however, the Tour group that ran the tour was Goldon Tours! They should be shut down for HORRIBLE - UNORGANIZED business! I’ve traveled many places all over the world and never had this poor of an experience! Golden Tours should be shut down!!! At least, in France!!! They ripped us all off. They had our money, in advance, and wouldn’t give us the tickets - stating they had to buy them all together! If we would have had our own tickets we could have gone on our own and seen everything without the incompetent tour guide! She wasn’t even French. She was from Columbia and didn’t even know Frances history! I came with my daughter to Europe to celebrate her birthday and at least two others in the tour were celebrating birthdays and specifically booked the tour to see the Louvre. Such a huge disappointment for all! Golden Tours needs to be held responsible for this debacle and make a mends to the entire tour group! We want a REFUND!!!!!!!!! Not to mention the 15 HOURS WE SPENT, THE WASTED TIME, MONEY AND PERSONAL DISTRESS AND DISAPPOINTMENT???

Did a day trip to Paris from London with my adult son. It was the best day of our trip. Tour guide Sylvia was great and you get a crash course in Paris. The day flys by. Two hours is not nearly enough for the Louvre so research in advance which direction you want to go.

This tour was amazing! Unfortunately there were strikes at the Eiffel Tower and our entry tickets were cancelled. That was super disappointing but out of anyone’s control! Our AMAZING guide Lara made sure we still got to see the Eiffel Tower and we got to go to Montmarte instead - which turned out to be one of my favourite parts of the tour!

Lara was knowledgeable, supportive, and just an all round lovely person! Anyone who has her as their guide is incredibly lucky.

Thanks Lara - and don’t forget, in ‘Aussie’ it’s Maccas not McDonalds!

DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR!
The worst experience ever. Such poor planning and was nothing like advertised. We got to be in line for 3 hours just for our guide to pick up tickets to enter the Eiffel Tower. Literally spent 15 minutes up there, enough to get through a long bathroom line, and went back down just to learn that we can no longer do the River Cruise due to the time constraint of the Louvre closing at 6 pm. Once we got there, he was very generous to give us 30 min to experience everything. We never had a chance to have lunch, nor dinner, nor promised free time. The timing was absolutely off. Our guide, Pedro Murilllo, had to be asked about everything regarding what we saw on our trip. Very little information. There were 15 of us and not a single person had a good time. So disappointing. Such a waist of time and money.
