2. Valley of the Kings
The Valley of the Kings (Arabic: وادي الملوك‎ Wādī al-Mulūk; Coptic: ϫⲏⲙⲉ, romanized: džēme),[1] also known as the Valley of the Gates of the Kings (Arabic: وادي ابواب الملوك‎ Wādī Abwāb al-Mulūk),[2] is a valley in Egypt where, for a period of nearly 500 years from the 16th to 11th century BC, rock-cut tombs were excavated for the pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom (the Eighteenth to the Twentieth Dynasties of Ancient Egypt).
3. Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari
The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, also known as the Djeser-Djeseru (Ancient Egyptian: ḏsr ḏsrw "Holy of Holies"), is a mortuary temple of Ancient Egypt located in Upper Egypt. Built for the Eighteenth Dynasty pharaoh Hatshepsut, who died in 1458 BC, the temple is located beneath the cliffs at Deir el-Bahari on the west bank of the Nile near the Valley of the Kings. This mortuary temple is dedicated to Amun and Hatshepsut and is situated next to the mortuary temple of Mentuhotep II, which served both as an inspiration and, later, a quarry. It is considered one of the "incomparable monuments of ancient Egypt

5. Luxor Temple
The Luxor Temple (Arabic: معبد الاقصر) is a large Ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River in the city today known as Luxor (ancient Thebes) and was constructed approximately 1400 BCE. In the Egyptian language it is known as ipet resyt, "the southern sanctuary". In Luxor there are several great temples on the east and west banks. Four of the major mortuary temples visited by early travelers include the Temple of Seti I at Gurnah, the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahri, the Temple of Ramesses II (i.e., Ramesseum), and the Temple of Ramesses III at Medinet Habu. The two primary cults' temples on the east bank are known as the Karnak and Luxor.[1] Unlike the other temples in Thebes, Luxor temple is not dedicated to a cult god or a deified version of the pharaoh in death. Instead, Luxor temple is dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship; it may have been where many of the pharaohs of Egypt were crowned in reality or conceptually
6. Temple of Karnak
The Karnak Temple Complex, commonly known as Karnak (/ˈkɑːr.næk/,[1] from Arabic Khurnak meaning "fortified village"), comprises a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels, pylons, and other buildings near Luxor, in Egypt. Construction at the complex began during the reign of Senusret I in the Middle Kingdom (around 2000–1700 BC) and continued into the Ptolemaic period (305–30 BC), although most of the extant buildings date from the New Kingdom. The area around Karnak was the ancient Egyptian Ipet-isut ("The Most Selected of Places") and the main place of worship of the Eighteenth Dynasty Theban Triad with the god Amun as its head. It is part of the monumental city of Thebes. The Karnak complex gives its name to the nearby, and partly surrounded, modern village of El-Karnak, 2.5 kilometres (1.6 miles) north of Luxor.

Ms. Salwa, our Egyptologist tour guide, made our Luxor tour very interesting and enjoyable. She's very knowledgeable about the historical facts of ancient Egypt. This tour starts early and ends late. It's jampacked but definitely worth it! 💯

No doubt this was our best day in Egypt! The sights are so impressive, beautiful, and our guide Angie was fantastic. She was clearly very insightful, and shared with us the appropriate level of detail so we learned a lot from each site visited. Highly recommend taking this tour, even if it is a super early start and late finish. Our 10-year-old stayed engaged througout!

This experience was amazing and u couldn't be happier. It's a long day but so very worth it. Sam and driver ali made me feel so welcome and gave me such good memories and so much information about the sites. Luxor is incredible place and must be seen if in Egypt! Make sure to ask for SAM and Ali you will not be disappointed. !!!!!

Sam was the best tour guide I’ve ever had. He was knowledgable about the sites (he’s an Egyptologist), and everything went very smoothly. He was sincere and honest - he protected me from several scams, and informed me that there was no pressure to purchase anything on a tour stop at a shop, which I really appreciated. When I went to pray, he also made sure I had a private area and prevented people from entering - very thoughtful. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe with Sam as the guide and AbdulAbu as the driver. The driver was very friendly.

Very grateful that I didn’t have some of the other guides described poorly in the reviews. Request Sam!

• 04:30 hotel pick up
• 05:00 arrive at airport
- go to check in counter to receive boarding pass (without guide, not emphasized in description)
•07:00 depart to Luxor
•08:15 arrive in Luxor and meet guide OUTSIDE of the airport (not emphasized in description)

The only reason why this excursion did not receive 5 stars is because of the logistical unclarity which caused some anxiety with the flight to Luxor. To reiterate you will be traveling to Luxor alone to meet the guide there, outside of the airport. (Some other companies meet their guides at the Cairo airport, this one does not. The meeting point is in Luxor. Our guide also did not have a sign which caused some confusion in the morning.

Was it worth it? YES, absolutely! Would I do it again? YES, absolutely! Our guide, Sam, provided us a tailored experience like none other. I am thankful I took the risk of booking this trip knowing there are many moving parts. If you decide to take the risk, please read the above itinerary and it will help relieve some of the stressors of the start of the trip.

We were able to get an in depth, highly insightful look at many of the great places, tombs, and temples throughout Luxor. If you are staying in Cairo, this is a must day trip!! I cannot recommend this enough. This is ancient Egypt. There is so much history, passion, and power in this city.

This is a great way to see the highlight sites in Luxor on a single day trip for those staying in Cairo. Picked up by our driver and guide very early to go to the airport. Guide let us know who we would be looking for upon arriving in Luxor. No issues on the short Egypt Air flight to Luxor. We quickly found our guide Sharene and headed to our car to meet the driver. Great day of touring (Karnak and Luxor Temples), tasty shawarma lunch, then finished with Valley of the Kings and Temple of Hatshepsut. Sharene was very knowledgeable, explained everything along the way and gave us plenty of time after to explore each place on our own. We ended a little early and were given a few options to fill the time before our flight. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine on an outdoor patio overlooking the Nile, relaxing and having time to discuss all the amazing sites we had experienced. Our driver came back to pick us up and took us to the airport for our return flight to Cairo. The guide and driver in Cairo were waiting to take us back to our hotel. A long and busy day, but a terrific experience.

The best trip I ever had , to see all this in one day is unbelievable! Hasan the guide was amazing, friendly and very professional , in one day he told me whole history of Egypt I guess, because he never stopped talking:)))The flight back to Cairo was delayed 1 hour and I thought they left me by my own I was so scared that they would not wait for me but no they waited for one hour and brought me to hotel safely! Highly recommend this trip ! Thank you Hasan!
