Climb the Vesuvius, stroll around its crater and enjoy panoramic views of Napoli.
Finally, stop at Pompeii, the impressive open-air museum that holds more than 2000 years of history.
During the entire tour, your driver will be at your complete disposal, explaining to you on board the vehicle everything you need to know about the places you will visit.
The tour ticket is not the entrance ticket to the archaeological sites.
Guide services and audio guide within the archaeological sites are an extra service available on request to guarantee you total independence in the management of your leisure, whether you want to walk alone through the ruins or you want to enrich the visit with a guided tour.

Book this!!!!!!! I loved, loved, loved our tour guide Rosita and our driver, Alfredo. The tours were awesome and she took great care of us. Alfredo was a skilled, experienced driver, which is what you want driving to the top of Mt. Vesuvius! Alfredo even sang to us on the return trip!

First, let me say that I never do group tours. I like to travel on my own, and do things at my own pace. I didn't know it when I booked this tour, but I got exactly what I needed. It is transportation from place to place, with Luigi, our guide, talking to us during the rides about what to expect at the next site. Once we arrived at the sites, we were simply allowed to go off on our own, until the appoint meeting time. If you want a tour being led by someone waving a flag or umbrella while 30 people follow behind, this is not the tour for you. Thankfully for me, it was not that.

Our guide, Luigi was absolutely charming. His English was excellent, and his knowledge extensive. When we had a little time to kill before we could get to Vesuvius, he took us to a small shop that had all kinds of cool stuff. I don't know if it was happenstance or secretly prearranged, but everyone seemed to love it, and most of us bought at least a few things.

Francesco, our driver apparently don't have much English so he didn't say much, but they way he maneuvered that van and got us around safely makes him a rock star.

Make no mistake, this is an exhausting tour. About 8 hours of walking, climbing, hiking in bright sunshine and heat. Be prepared. But as I said, it was exactly what I wanted, and it didn't disappoint at all. And the guys will be part of what I remember most fondly about my visit to Napoli.

The actual experiences for this trip were beyond expectations! Would highly recommend going to all three of them. I do feel however the price is extremely overpriced for what was basically for a taxi service as it didn’t cover anything bar the entrance to mount Vesuvius. Mario was fun and lively and had a couple facts here and there but boy could he talk a lot. He did organise a tour guide Julia for Pompeii whom was very informative and great and worth the money but was an added $160 for our group of 5 and Mario did make it seem as though our Pompeii entrance tickets was included in that price but it wasn’t so we found that a bit cheeky. We also had some of the people for our tour not turn up and made us all late which was very frustrating too but nothing to do with the tour itself. All I would suggest is that if you can be bothered, get to these places yourself, it seems relatively easy in hind sight and save yourself some money. But for ease of getting to all 3 in one day, use the tour but be prepared to pay.

THIS PACKAGE DOES NOT INCLUDE TWO OF THE SITES TICKETS! I wanted to start by saying that as for two people, we paid over £200 for a bus ride and one site. Luigi was excellent as an information point on the ride between the sites- his knowledge was brilliant of the site and local areas esp where to eat. But for over £200 I expected tickets too, which is only further down on the itinerary as not included so you’re looking at another 72 euros for other two sites (based on a couple),
I am so glad we did the three sites. Climbing Vesuvius and the views is something I will never forget, seeing the bodies at Herculaneum and pompeiis ruins were incredible. For us it just felt like a very expensive day and if you had a car, could have driven yourself. The transport links here are brilliant too so something to consider. But if you just want to be driven and not worry then this tour is for you.

Pros: Got us safely to/from our destinations (no small feat with the drivers of Naples)! Our guide was friendly, as were those on the day trip with us.

Cons: We wanted to stick to the sites on the tour (Herculaneum, Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii). Guide then went on about a lovely lunch spot and all the delicacies to eat there, getting some other passengers very excited for that stop. (Lunch was not part of the tour.) I kept thinking there wouldn't be enough time to squeeze in a lunch. Then there was an event at Mt.Vesuvius, so we could not enter the park when we arrived and had to wait in the vehicle for 30 min. Still, there was no adjustment to the schedule when we set out on the climb. As everyone was anticipating the lunch spot and hungry after the climb and additional delay, we were told no lunch stop. But guide wanted us to stop for limoncello tasting and shopping. (Also not on tour.) Of course, it meant grabbing an overpriced and rather mediocre sandwich from a stand for lunch before stopping at the souvenir place. Finally made it to Pompeii with under 2 hours to explore. Then were told to shop for souvenirs after we met to leave. A) It's not a food or shopping tour. B) We had to pay separately for our entry tickets to both Herculaneum and Pompeii, so we wanted to maximize our time there - not look at magnets and t-shirts or taste the lemons. These are things we could do on our own time. They weren't mentioned in the tour description. While they likely couldn't help that we needed to wait at Vesuvius, everything else that took time away from the planned activities was unnecessary. Lastly, the guide had never been to any of the sites on the tour, which I found odd for a guide. When she told us about what we'd see inside Pompeii, she was quite wrong. But she did have good information about other things, was friendly, and we liked her. She should go inside the places and up the mountain, though!

We were able to enjoy all the sites because the guide was able to organize the activities, and therefore avoid the crowds. Even if the day brings together two different archaeological sites, it remains relatively repetitive.

Great tour. Our guide Rosita was very knowledgeable, gave us lots of great information on the coach and her commentary was very funny. The driver Alfredo did a great job too.
It was a very interesting trip. Herculaneum was very interesting and definitely worth visiting, I'm glad we did this trip and not just Vesuvius and pompeii. Vesuvius was a great experience - try the Vesuvian wine at the top!
Doing all 3 in one day is quite tiring. Pompeii was the last stop and is huge with so much to see, so make sure to save some energy for it!

Our driver Cesare was excellent.
He looked after us very well. He was punctual and courteous. He made great recommendations for lunch .
We never felt rushed and it was a nice small group. People from Wales, UK, France and New Zealand.
Would choose Cesare again and recommend him to other travelers.
