This day tour brings you to the most histroric sites and scenic spots in the Netherlands, which are The Hague, Delft and Rotterdam. On this tour, you will know stories about the history of the Netherlands.

In the beginning of our journey, we will visit Rotterdam, which has Europe's largest seaport. Rotterdam is known for its maritime heritage and modern architecture. The near-complete destruction of the city centre in the World War II has resulted in a varied architectural landscape.

After that, we will travel to Delft, which is famous for its blue pottery. You would have time to seat on the market square to have lunch here.

In the afternoon, we will go to the political city of the Netherlands: The Hague. It is the administrative and royal capital of the Netherlands and its seat of government.

This tour offers free hotel pick-up service in Amsterdam; a luxury and comforable mini bus (Mecedes brand) with maximum 8 persons; and a free bottle of water (one bottle per traveler).

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Markthal
The first stop in our journey is Market Hall in Rotterdam. It is the largest, most beautiful and fashionable market in the world. There are nearly 11,000 m2 of indoor paintings on the walls, which are currently the largest indoor paintings in the world. It is an open market, you could see almost all tranditional Dutch food here, such as: cheese, haring fish, stroopwafel, etc.
2. Grote of Sint-Laurenskerk
This St. Lawrence Church is the only remnant of the medieval city of Rotterdam. It is also the first all-stone building in Rotterdam. The church is destroyed in the Second World War, after several repairs it has retained its current magnificent building. In addition to its church function, nowadays it is also used as a venue for exhibitions, concerts and other activities.

The Old Harbour is the oldest port in Rotterdam. It was built in 1350. There are many historical buildings around here. The port nowadays is full with bars and restaurants. It is a pleasant place to enjoy the views and the food here. You could still see some old barges and modern yachts moored here. This is a great place for a casual walk.
4. Kijk-Kubus
Cube houses are a set of innovative houses built in Rotterdam. It is designed based on the concept of "living as an urban roof": high density housing with sufficient space on the ground level, since its main purpose is to optimise the space inside. The cube of a conventional house is turned 45 degrees, and rested it upon a hexagon-shaped pylon.
5. Erasmus Bridge
Erasmus Bridge is a combined cable-stayed and bascule bridge. It crosses the Nieuwe Maas River in the centre of Rotterdam, connecting the north and south parts of this city. The Erasmus Bridge is Rotterdam's most important landmark and is even part of the city's official logo.
6. Euromast
Euromast is an observation tower in Rotterdam, It was specially built for the 1960 Floriade Flower Expo, and is a listed monument since 2010. Euromast is the highest building of the Netherlands, it is also a member of the World Federation of Great Towers.
7. Stadhuis van Delft (City Hall Delft)
Delft is a popular tourist destination and famous for its historical connections with the reigning House of Orange-Nassau for its blue pottery. In Delft, you would enjoy the view at the city center and have lunch here. The City Hall in Delft is a Renaissance style building on the Markt across from the Nieuwe Kerk. It is the seat of the city's government as well as a popular venue for civic wedding ceremonies. Most administrative functions have been transferred to an office inside the Delft railway station building.
8. Markt
There are many restaurants, bars, shops on the market square. You would have a walk here and have lunch at your own choice.
9. Royal Delft - Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles
【Choose one place to visit. We go either Madurodam or Royal Delft Blue Pottery Factory. We don't visit both places. You could choose one of two places】The Royal Delft Factory is a Dutch manufacturer of Delft Blue earthenware. It is the only remaining factory out of 32 that were established in Delft during the 17th century. Today, Royal Delft has been active for over 360 years, you would see live painting there.
10. Madurodam
【Choose one place to visit. We go either Madurodam or Royal Delft Blue Pottery Factory. We don't visit both places. You could choose one of two places】Madurodam is a 1.8 square kilometers miniature ‘city’ / park and tourist attraction in The Hague. It is home to a range of 1:25 scale model replicas of famous Dutch landmarks, historical cities and large developments. In 1972, it became the smallest city in the world. The city brings together more than 120 famous buildings and historical sites in the Netherlands.
11. Peace Palace
The Peace Palace is an international law administrative building in The Hague. It houses the International Court of Justice, the Permanent Court of Arbitration, The Hague Academy of International Law and the Peace Palace Library.
12. Noordeinde Palace
Noordeinde Palace is one of the three official palaces of the Dutch royal family. It has been used as the official workplace of King Willem-Alexander since 2013.
13. House of Representatives
The House of Representatives is part of the parliament. It plays an important role in drafting laws, monitors the government and decides whether a cabinet (or minister) has enough confidence.
14. Binnenhof & Ridderzaal (Inner Court & Hall of the Knights)
Binnenhof was built primarily in the 13th century, the Gothic castle originally functioned as residence of the counts of Holland and became the political centre of the Dutch Republic in 1584. It is the oldest Parliament building in the world still in use.

Leidse did a great job informing us not only on the history of the Netherlands, but also everyday life as a local. By the end of the day, our tour group members were friends. A great opportunity, especially as a solo traveler, to see parts of Holland not traditionally visited.

I had such an amazing trip with Leidse through the three beautiful cities of Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague! After traveling for a week in this incredible country, this tour was such a sweet and remarkable closing chapter through the diverse cityscapes and history of the Netherlands. I will certainly recommend to all of my friends who will be traveling to the NL! Also, extra shoutout to Leidse for being an amazing photographer!

I'll start by saying we went to the cities described. The Royal Delft Factory was the highlight, mostly because our tour guide wasn't in charge there.

Otherwise it was a day I wouldn't recommend. Our guide, "Pete" was childish, insulting, and uninformed. He disparaged nearly every aspect of the trip including the historic sites ("the most boring part that everyone hates"), the modern architecture in Rotterdam (made fun of people who lived there), the government, various races and ethnicities, and genders, especially women. His king is "a failure" for fathering daughters and he is also "stupid" for getting a degree in water management because what will he use that for? (Pete is apparently unaware of how much of the Netherlands would be lost without water management.) According to Pete the Prime Minister's office "is designed to avoid a Monica Lewinsky" and the government only helps the poor if they can work (sorry elderly and infirm!) The most animated the guide was all day was a lengthy tale about a Santa statue he claims is holding an "adult toy", which he described in much more crude terms. So I guess if everything on the tour (except Santa, obviously) is boring and stupid what does that say about Pete's opinion of those of us who paid $$$ in the hopes of learning something about it? We'd have abandoned the tour but needed a ride back to Amsterdam, which at least I can say, happened without incident.

This is a very nice way to know better Holland.
Delft is a very nice small town,with historical sights of high interest.
The visit at Delft factory of porcelain was unexpectedly interesting and we saw and learned new things. It was rhe must see of the journey.
The visit at Rotterdam was nice,but just to visit a few places.
Last was the visit at THE HAUG which was as a place much more interesting than Rotterdam but unfortunately we arrived at a time with less light but anyway the places were worth seeing.
Our guide Pete did an excellent job both in driving and explaining.
Overall an interesting and worth of the money journey.

The tour guide was knowledgeable and engaging.
Experience with viator was less than satisfactory. I booked a tour for Madurodam originally. I got an email the day before asking if the d be interested to do the Delph factory and I responded by saying I’d like to do Madurodam. Viator canceled my reservation and and sent email indicating the same. I had booked this is advance and the last minute cancellation left us in limbo. When I contacted them again, they booked the one with Delph factory but charged me more than what I had originally paid which was very disappointing. I’d expect viator to give an additional discount for last minute cancellation rather than charging me more than the original.
