Darwin Experience is a Kayak crossing on the Santa Cruz River, El Calafate. We do about 15 km of paddling until we reach a typical Patagonian stay where we will wait for you with an outdoor lunch.

Excellent! Ruben and Pablo, geniuses, made us have a great day. They came to pick us up at the agreed time, with super clear instructions. We feel very safe! The cold was not felt!

Good: a) technical equipment (kayak, suits, transport vehicle, etc.
b) Safety briefing before starting the journey
c) the guide (Ruben) very clear in briefing and leading the 3 kayaks in water (6 pax). Also with contributions on flora/fauna seen along the route.
d) Barbecue at the end of the tour on the banks of the river. Sunny day and it was splendid, even with an option for vegetarians
e) Ruben took many photos during the water trip without risking our phones or cameras. It has an additional cost to the excursion payment but it is reasonable (15,000 $ Ar)
Very Good: no kayak wrecks! And it was the first time in a kayak for the 6 pax
Bad/ needs improvement: nothing occurs to me

This was an amazing tour, with a great guide. Reuben and his team are super knowledgable about the area and beyond. The food next to the river was incredibly tasty and served in a stunning setting. The drive there and back was also a great way to see the landscape. We would recommend as an alternative to the glacier tours (must do that as well!)!

Beautiful experience! The guides are fun and help you at all times so that you have an unforgettable experience. They give you all the equipment and explain everything you need. The landscape is beautiful with guanacos and choiques around the river. Super delicious food. I recommend it without a doubt!

Our guide (Ruben) was so great! This trip had more specialized gear than I anticipated, but it was so worth it! The water was beautiful, the day was perfect, and the instruction was wonderful. Plus once we got to the end, they had prepared the most beautiful lunch that was delicious! We couldn’t have been happier! (It’s quite a bumpy road heading home though!) :)

Beautiful, safe tour with a fantastic team from Patagonia Profunda. We rowed for 16km, seeing animals on the riverbank, and ended with a wonderful lunch (salad, meat, provoleta and wine!). We love it!
