We recently traveled to Normandy with Rethro Lemieux as our guide. What a tremendous day it was. Right from the start he was kind, warm, and delightful, and began laying a wonderful foundation of history before we even arrived at our first destination.
Throughout the tour, Rethro demonstrated his wealth of knowledge by offering entertaining stories that we would never have discovered otherwise. He knows how to weave a good tale and bring history to life for his audience.
As we progressed, he was patient, but kept us on schedule and returned us on time to catch our train.
At the end of the day, our companions commented that of all the guides they had seen that day, they felt Rethro was the best.
We were greatly impressed and appreciated a wonderful day with such a knowledgeable guide who is both a humble wealth of information and lively storyteller.
Without hesitation, we highly recommend Bayeux Shuttle and Rethro Lemieux.

Mareien's (?sp) knowledge and style of communication made our day very comfortable and enjoyable.
As a kid, I remember reading the "I Was There at D-Day". To experience the sites of the American landings and the cemetery was powerful and emotional.
The small stories within the enormous undertaking are most astonishing.
To walk where heros fought and sacrificed and among the resting places of strangers to the shores of France that sacrificed for good and freedom was...........
It was a cold, windy, rainy and wonderful day!!

Roma was an enthusiastic and informative guide. We learned so many new things about D day and the areas we were able to explore. We were able to visit all of the sites in the American sector. Roma was so personable and kept to our schedule. Her language skills were excellent and we were able to understand the history of D day.

The tour occurred on Thursday, March 28th. We met at 0855 at the Train Station in Bayeaux. I drove to the spot via a rental car. There was a paid parking lot next to the Train Station. For a full day of parking, it was FREE. I was picked up at the station by Pascal. The tour starts immediately while you are being driven in the van. Pascal told you stories of the past. He incorporated photos and diagrams that allowed you to visualize the history. Pascal asked you "why" and "what would you do" type questions to get you into the mindset of those who lived the history.

As you visited the sites, you got a feeling of how things were. I found myself being able to retain that information because it was so immersive. Lunch was a delicious local sandwich spot. However, we were off to our next stop point. I felt we had so much to accomplish for the day, but did not feel rushed. We were never idle nor rushed. It was a nice pace. Pascal allowed those who could not deal with the elements to hold back in the van or building, while the rest pressed forward. The tour size was small at about 8 people; this included the tour guide. Even when driving from site to site, you are not sitting there in silence, you are being told a true story or shown pictures of people who lived the history. Pascal made this tour so enjoyable. I love learning new things. This tour is worth it and Pascal takes his job seriously; he appears to want you to understand the history. The amount of facts he threw out there on top of his head was amazing. Thank you Pascal!

What an amazing day! This tour of Utah, Omaha, and so much more was an experience I will never forget. As an American History teacher, I have a strong foundation of Normandy invasion. Stephen, our guide, provided details that I never knew and will add to my knowledge-base and my teaching. The 10+ hours felt like 10 minutes. Thank you, Stephen, for making a "bucket-list" of mine a memory that will last a lifetime.

Was disappointed, but not the best tour that I've been on. The guide didn't like taking question and he pretty much stuck to the script. Several question did go unanswered. I would say there's better guide services out there for the same price.
