Enjoy Japanese cultural lesson in 300-year old temple in Miyajima. Our mission is to have fun through Japanese cultural activities. We are located just about 5min walk from the Ferry port, yet a little off from busy tourist spot. You can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the temple. We start the course with dressing you up with kimono. Kimono wearing is included in lesson. You can take the lesson with special outfit which will stay in your memory very long with amazing pictures. Set of 3 cultural activities are Calligraphy, Tea Ceremony and Amulet making. We will take the pictures while you do the lessons and send the link to download the pictures after you fill out our questionnaire.

The whole program was a wonderful new experience for my sister and me but everything made it better getting to wear a kimono during every activity.

We had soooo much fun. The ladies who guided us were super friendly, both in Jpanese and English. They are professional and kind. The activities we booked (Kimono, amulet, tea ceremony, and calligraphy) were really fun. If you want a taste of Japan in a short time and a beautiful setting, this is something for you!

Everything about this activity was absolutely perfect. We had an amazing time learning how to write kanji and making our lucky charms. The tea ceremony was also very interesting to watch, such attention to detail in every step. Being able to dress up in kimonos made this whole experience extra special and the photos and videos taken will be forever cherished, what a fantastic time!

This experience has been the highlight of my travels so far. I was initially worried that attending alone would be weird, however everyone was so kind and welcoming. The hosts were lovely and so helpful especially when I felt overwhelmed choosing which kimono to wear (they have so many beautiful options).
Overall it was a wonderful experience that I would definitely recommend to everyone!

They were all so amazing and personable. The tea was delicious, even as someone who doesn't usually enjoy tea. They were able to also help give instructions in English, and we're super kind. I highly recommend the experience if you're on the island!

This was such a fun and special experience!! My friend and I did the full gambit, consisting of the kimono dressing, tea ceremony, calligraphy and amulet making. The three women who worked with us were phenomenal. They were kind, patient, and engaging. Overall, just a really gentle and happy vibe. ?
Thank you for being our teachers for the afternoon! A wonderful experience that will always be remembered!

We only did the short tea ceremony. We learned the Japanese names of the tools and followed the movements of our guide. It was fun (though challenging for lefties) and the tea tasted very nice. I think the full experience would have been even nicer as you can enjoy more parts of the Japanese culture.
