We met our group at the Ceiba Ferry Terminal. Tito who lead our group was very professional and knowledgeable. Our rides from ferry port to Flamenco Beach and to the speedboat docking area was in well A/C vehicles. They provided water/snacks/beach chairs. Snorkeling spot was in 2 different areas. The water is gorgeous and so clear. It was a very fun experience.

Staff was friendly. Bus was WAY too full, people crammed in with beach chairs piled on their legs. Snorkelling boat was also at max capacity, and was also somehow serving two tour groups at once so it disappeared and left us on an island for a few hours while dealing with the other group. Weird.

Culebra was great — I recommend the trip, just not this operator.

We had lovely time with this full day excursion. We were picked up in Old San Juan - Plaza Colon on time around 6:50 am by our guide Tito. Took the ferry from Ceiba to Culebra and spend about 2 hours at beautiful Flamenco beach. Later we went for snorkeling on catamaran with Juan and Mica to another lovely Culebrita beach. All the guides were very nice and helpful. We saw nursing sharks and some lovely fishes. Everything was planned properly. We were dropped back in Old San Juan around 8ish. I definitely recommend this tour specially if you don't want to drive and worry about logistics.

The Flamenco beach is def 10/10!! The water is clear like glass. The memories of sunshine, golden beach, soft sand, coconut trees, crystal waves and the soft kisses from wind will forever heal my soul. We absolutely love the day trip!

We saw a nurse shark, so many colorful fishes, and a sea urchin. We recommend this trip!!

The Flamenco beach and the snorkeling at a relatively private spot are all fantastic!! Definitely one of the best beaches I have ever been to. The snorkeling spot is niche as not a lot of people were there. Totally mesmerized. The guide is very friendly and nice.

Snorkeling at Culebrita was the best part! Flamenco beach was good, but perhaps overhyped… or we went on a bad day with tall waves. The trip from San Juan was quite long - next time, I might opt to spend a bit more and do the plane transfer instead of the ferry. Overall very good, would recommend despite some small hiccups - the reef was truly a wild experience, I’d never seen that amount of large wildlife (sharks, stingrays, sea snakes, etc.) concentrated in one area!

One of the most amazing experiences I have had! My teenage son also loved it! We were picked up right on time at 7.15 am from San Juan, taken via ferry to Culebra. Boarded the ferry at 9.30 am. We were at the Flamenco beach at about 10.45 am. Spent about 2 hours at the most beautiful beach. The restaurants at the beach was also very good with many vegetarian options, which made my wife and som very happy! We were then taken via a catamaran to Culebrita, where we had the most fun snorkeling! I had the most amazing experience of being kissed by a nurse shark!

This excursion was the highlight of our trip. We were staying in SJ and considered trying to coordinate a similar trip on our own, but I am so glad we handed the logistics over to the pros and were able to see/do so much in a single day!

Because the itinerary was a little confusing for us when we booked, I thought I'd share what it looked like for us.

1. Pick up in Condado pre dawn
2. Drive to Ceiba
3. Public ferry with other travelers to Isla Culebra
4. Drive to Playa Flamenco for down time
5. Catamaran to Isla Culebrita for self-guided snorkeling
6. Return to to harbor
7. Van to ferry
8. Public ferry back
9. Van back to Condado

NOTE: As others have mentioned, the ferry can be quite a ride. Many people got sea sick--myself included, but I was also 6 months pregnant, so my stomach was quite weak. Dramamine advised.

The beaches were pristine and absolutely gorgeous. Flamenco was white sand and pretty wavy and the beach on Isa Culebrita was calm giving us the opportunity to see nurse sharks, coral, and technicolor fish. Some have mentioned biting flies. They were present, but weren't a huge deal since we couldn't keep ourselves out of the beautiful turquoise water!

I highly recommend you add this adventure to your itinerary :)

Relatively small group of 20. We opted to be picked up from our hotel in Isla Verde. Everything was well organized and followed advertised schedule. 1 hour for lunch and relaxation in the warm water of Flamenco Beach then a water taxi to Culebrita for snorkeling. Two small reefs off the beach with some live corals, small fish, and we saw a 6 foot nurse shark. Friendly Iventures crew provided umbrellas, paddle boards, and snorkeling equipment. Be prepared for lots of mosquitoes on Culebrita island.

Beautiful photos, water is pristine. It's a LONG day, lots of travel before you arrive (2.5 hours one way). Tour guide (Tito) was very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend, but know that you won't be doing anything else that day.
