I'm an artist and master jeweller, art lover and food passioned, I still haven’t decided yet what I’m going to do when I grow up, meanwhile (since 1982) I design jewels and I like teach jewelry-making. In 2013 I was appointed Master of Art by Tuscany Govt. I always like meeting new people, find new inspirations, sharing my knowledge... and telling stories about my work and my city. The ancient cuttlefish bone casting technique, already known by the Egyptians more than 2000 years ago, is one of my favorites is one of my favourites and it's easy to learn. The cuttlefish bone is easy to carve to make a mold that will be filled with melted silver. After my instuctions it will be your turn to project and carve the bone into the shape of your own jewel. You will make your personalized pendant or ring, choosing from the proposed models; I will help individually to reach the best result. In the mold just carved I will cast the melted silver and you'll see immediately the rough jewel.

Highly recommend this experience. Federico is an extremely genuine, kind, supportive and talented teacher! Instruction was incredible and I felt encouraged to be creative and try new skills. The results are fantastic and to be able to come home with a piece of beautiful jewelry that I made with Federico’s instruction is priceless! Again, I highly recommend this experience. It is doable no matter what your skill level.

This was the best experience in all of Italy! In 3 hours, we were able to make a ring that is wearable, authentic silver, and completely the envy of everyone in our group. Signor Federico was a patient teacher. He is very passionate about his work and he loves to pass on his knowledge. My teen son and I absolutely loved this experience. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Federico is available other days to book as well than the ones listed. We wear our jewelery every day.
