It was fun, air conditioned, informative, and funny! The guides and pilots are knowledgeable and I learned quite a few things while having a few good laughs.

Omar and crew were great. They make sure everyone gets to see the important things and provide helpful info and humor on the way. We saw the typical reef fish, two logger head turtles, a few rays and a shark who could ask for a better reef experience?

We had a pleasant experience enjoying the ride on the Atlantis Submarine in Cozumel, it is definitely something you should do when visiting Cozumel, Highly recommended.

Cozumel was the favorite of the three city ports we debarked on. The submarine office is a short walk from the port gates on the main road.
The staff at the Atlantis were friendly, professional, and even offered guidance on the best way to find the post-office where we could get our passports stamped following our dive.
The locals offered an authentic street side tourist shopping experience. Additionally unlike the other excursions we booked this one had very defined timelines which made planning the day less stressful.
A must do for every bucket list.

We arrived in Cozumel on a cruise ship (as a lot of people do). This particular experience is not available via the cruise ship that we were on so we had to book this privately. The first mistake we made was timing as we booked for 1pm and should have booked for much earlier. We went to the location where the experience starts and asked if we could do the submarine experience earlier. They said they could fit us on the 11am so we waited for about 30 minutes before a lady came up and said that the 11am was full and that the only space they still had was the 1pm that we previously booked. Luckily, it's not a long walk back to the port where we found a restaurant and sat down for lunch while we waited. We eventually got back to the place where the experience starts around 12:30pm (It's best to turn up early).
The trip on the boat from the shore to the submarine takes about 15 minutes and is comfortable enough. While onboard the boat they tell you how you will board the submarine and show you the safety equipment. Not going to lie; the masks they show you for “in the event of an emergency” are scary.
Boarding the submarine is an easy enough affair. I suffer from claustrophobia and was worried that I would not be able to do the excursion (wanted to push myself) but actually the hatches are big enough and when you are inside the submarine it's no more claustrophobic than getting into an airplane, so basically, I panicked about nothing.
The submarine has three members of staff that stay onboard with the guests and during the experience one of the members of staff acts as a guide to what you are seeing. The submarine part of the experience lasts about 45 minutes and was thoroughly enjoyable and I would recommend it to everyone (in fact we are doing it again next year).

Plenty of opportunities for photos on this submarine expedition. Highlight was the shipwreck in the marine park. Saw lots of marine life plus the dropoff into the ocean depths at the south end of Cozumel’s landmass. We got a last-minute online booking the day of our trip. Free WiFi in the wait lobby allowed for quick sharing of photos with friends & family upon returning.
