Other companies had cancelled tours to Cozumel island due to the bad weather so I requested to cancel with a refund. I was refused and told I would be noted as a no- show if I was not at pickup! I was there and not happy about it. The ferry crossing was cancelled as I expected.
What I didn’t expect was for the tour guide to ignore my phone calls. When I found him he said there’s no ferry so the tour ends here and I would have to pay to get back from Playa del Carmen to Cancun!
I had just wasted a morning on my last day that I clearly didn’t have to. I then had the unexpected expenditure of paying to travel back to Cancun. I’ve never had this happen and found the abandonment and extra expenditure outrageous.
