Why snorkel when all there is to see is other people?
The protected area for swimming is screened off by fish nets, so not a single fish. Suggested I might see some if I crossed the barrier and swam in the boat channel. Uh, no…I have no desire to be run over by a boat.
Service was good, but beach and furniture were tired and worn.
Definitely not worth the money.

Of the 3 excursions we booked for our cruise, this was my family's favorite.
Pros:
- Jackie, the owner, was hospitable and welcoming, and the staff's hospitality was friendly.
- The food that was prepared for us was honestly the best food I had on the entire trip!
- The local atmosphere is something you don't get from a cruise-booked excursion. It was great to be among the locals.
- Seating was provided which included covered and non-covered areas for lounging and table/chairs for eating.
- The water was clear and very gradually sloped allowing the kids to walk out quite a way before getting too deep for them.
- There are several shops along the beach... and several businesses side-by-side offering a similar slice of beach.
Cons:
- Locals approaching you selling their wares every few minutes. They were not rude at all - for the most part they ask you twice and walk away after that. I did buy a few things.
Make sure to bring cash for tips and souvenirs.

This place absolutely not what you would wish for your family.The beach is rocky locals non stop asking you follow you to buy this and that. Everything overpriced and the hole place is a dump straight from Gett …o. What’s what your doing because locals make you guilty and call police on you beside your open your wallet . Asking to trade a 1200$ I phone of mine to trade for a Mexican hat. Trust me I’m just back with a Family I shocked that a cruise think this is where they should stop with tourist. The “ city” full of trash broken glasses . I will never return this is a total shi .. t .hole hood .We felt absolutely unsafe as people follow you .Any price they tell you divide by 2 ,but same on cruise ship that they drop us of in this trash .Don’t make a mistake google before you go trust us this is a get to .There was 0 information on local things to see ,on bus no tour guide .And the bus stopped at the first Gett…o which was close to water.Horrible experience.

Although the experience was not what I expected, we absolutely loved it! It is a local beach experience with local people who treated us to lovely hospitality! Jackie and her staff were great! The drinks and food were excellent! The trip starts out at a meeting place. They are super nice, and welcome you with drinks. A taxis arrived and drove us to a section of town with shops and restaurants. Our host met the cab on the street and led us to her restaurant which has a small section of beach that we were able to use. Although the chairs were worn and old, we loved the place, it was beautiful and the water was shallow which worked great for our small kids. All in all a great local experience!

The overall experience was a mixed bag. The restroom cleanliness was subpar. The drinks, unfortunately, did not meet expectations – lacking in quality. On the upside, the food was a highlight, offering a redeeming factor to an otherwise underwhelming visit.

It was like having our own little resort to ourselves. Right on the beach. Before I could finish one drink, Gwen was down on the beach asking if we were ready for another. Food was amazing and so was the hospitality. Cruising again in March and will book again!

If I could rate a zero I would! Difficult to find contact point. Dogs in the restaurant. Ride to "Beach Club" on wasted roads. As for the hovel they are calling a "Club?" Water is blocked off from ocean so is mostly brackish and so full of trash you had to pull it off every time you put a toe on the water.
"Lunch" was three street size tacos we waited 40 minutes for. Tablespoon of meat on cold tortilla. Seriously..nothing else.
Drinks had one chunk of ice that gave off brown floating specks as it melted and tasted like watered down lemonade. One teenage boy for all services.
It's no wonder we were to only ones at that spot. Spot next door was crowded and they all looked happy. Still very few people in the trashy water.
They had no English and we had to sign for the cab back to ship. And then the cab driver said we had to pay him as well. Took 30 minutes to straighten out the mess. Really disappointed that Viator spoke sors this type of trashy place. Sorry I tried to "Treat" my sisters to a day at the beach and got a day in a dump.

We arrived to a small, dirty and run down spot on the beach. The beach itself was dirty and the food preparation area was not sanitary. We did not even sit down it was so bad. We walked a block up the beach to a beautiful facility as were most.

I had never booked an excursion other than from the cruise line. So, I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I booked this. There are some very mixed reviews, and I was kind of expecting a bigger location, but the service and attentiveness of the staff made up for anything that could possibly have been a negative.
So, the beach itself is public which, of course, leads to a lot of people trying to sell things to you. So we spent a lot of time saying no thank you. The swimming area itself is cordoned off so you can't go out too far, and at 6'1 I was always able to touch the ground.
I must have misunderstood the requirements, because I thought that it was unlimited food, but it's not. That said the food was fantastic, and the drinks were non-stop and well mixed. I would definitely do this again, but in addition to sunscreen you might want to take bug spray, because I got bit by multiple mosquitoes.
