We only had three days in Phuket and happened to be staying at a hotel with a more muddy beach due to the area the hotel is in. But I really wanted to do some snorkeling and see coral and reef fish so we booked the day trip to coral island. For the price we paid we got a efficient, safe and comfortable ride to coral island. We were the first boat there so it was very peaceful, beautiful clear water and white sand beach. We arrived around 10am. We also spotted many hornbills flying around the island. We did some snorkeling and although the coral close to the shore was quite degraded we swam out further and saw many fish and beautiful coral. The lunch was good, we had fried chicken, pad kra pao, stir-fried veggies, rice and fruit. But then around 11 am many more boats with tourists arrived and they started doing parasailing right from the beach. The speed boats were so loud and were basically circling over the coral in a shallow area. No wonder the coral is so degraded near the shore. We were happy to leave at 2:45pm. Overall beautiful spot, safe and good value for the money paid, but the parasailing and hordes of people were obnoxious.

We had a fantastic relaxing day - snorkeling, parasailing, swimming and chilling!!! Holiday cannot be any better!!!

Hi,
Was picked up from Hotel and taken to dive shop. Coffee tea and soft drinks available as well as toast, jam. Bananas. Taken to peer and put on speed boat with 3 Yamaha 200 engines.
Taken to island drinks available on board. On island shown where we will have lunch. Taken out by boat to dive site.Snorkelled for
around half an hour. Not much sea life.
Back on boat for lunch and then transferred to pier. Minibus back to hotel. Great day. Not a lot of sea life.

There was bad weather on the day but the trip still went ahead. However, once we got to the island we were told we weren’t going to be taken to the snorkelling area due to the weather as it was too dangerous. We were also told none of the optional activities were going ahead, because of the weather… We were told we could snorkel off the beach where we were but the water was murky and there wasn’t any marine life anyway. We tried to snorkel, went for a swim and when getting out asked for the “provided” towels to which we were told there weren’t any and we had to rent or buy a towel if we wanted one! Ultimately we were trapped on an island with nothing to do for 6 hours. You couldn’t even go exploring as the beach is in a cove with rocks and deep rainforest on each side. I don’t understand why the trip went ahead if we couldn’t do any of the planned activities??? This was a waste of a day for us. We could have stayed in Phuket and done other things! We booked this trip as we wanted to ensure we went snorkelling while there but would have appreciated them cancelling the trip so our time wasn’t wasted.

It’s a sectioned off piece of beach with hills and jungle surrounding it but you can’t go exploring. So we basically just sat on the beach for 6 hrs with intermittent rain. Went to ask for the “provided” towel and told they didn’t have any and we’d have to rent or buy a towel. Would have preferred to be told it’s bad weather and be given an option not to go. Felt it was a whole day wasted as we were trapped once we were on the island and not told we couldn’t do anything until we got there. The next day half of our group didn’t go on another tour we had booked as they were concerned about something similar happening and didn’t want to waste another day.

Do NOT take this trip!
It's a scam and even though the island you visit is called Coral Island, there are NO corals to be seen at all!
According to our guide, due to the Tsunami in 2004, the corals were destroyed and disappeared.
As the whole purpose of our trip was to snorkel and see corals, we were extremely disappointed as there is not much else to do there and it was a waist of a day (and money).

We had elderly parents and children with us. It was an easy 15 min boat ride to the island. The buffet lunch was a choice of 4 dishes and there was plenty to eat. We took our own snacks. The pier was a floating one so a bit tricky to walk on for the elderly people but we did it.

Every thing was perfect from the hotel pickup to hotel drop off.
The staff were great very informative and upbeat. Location was great very relaxing.

Not the best beach, littered with trash.
Rented a SUP but the paddle was broken (wouldn't extend) and the people renting it didn't seem to care. They clearly don't know much about paddleboarding as they tried to give me a kayak paddle.
Lunch options were poor for a vegetarian.

The best trip by far. The people were super nice and accommodated us with drinks and snorkel gear for free. The location was spectacular. Had an entire day on the island compared to others that were a few hours. No end of activities that were cheap. Love love loved it, highly recommended.
