The Tuscan Farmhouse experience with Luca and Carmela and team was absolutely amazing. Light hearted, fun and informative. My best friend and my daughter both enjoyed as well. The Tuscan Farmhouse Team work hard to make this experience true Florentinian and speak to the history of the food with knowledge and passion. I nearly made a terrible mistake..we had limited time in Florence and a coking class just didn’t seem to stack up to the historic sights….well was I wrong.
From the start this is one of, if not the best, experiences my family has had in Italy.
Our hosts were so engaged, enthusiastic and professional the day flew by in the blink of an eye…
The facility is beyond compare for ambience and quality.
The support staff made everything flow seamlessly..
Our chef/instructor made the difficult seem easy as we cooked our way through traditional Italian dishes….they provided valuable insights and techniques making sure we could reproduce these dishes in our own homes..
Luca, our English speaking chef along with Camilla were a pleasure to work with..professionals both…!
Take this class, you won’t regret it……..

I admit, a bit sceptical at first to be cooking in a larger group but how wrong I was. A great experience with Chef Luca adding to it all with his incredible energy and sense of humor. Great to visit the food market, very nice transportation to a beautiful venue for the actual cooking and luncheon. Warmly recommend!

This class made our trip to Florence unforgettable. We had a blast and learned a lot! The trip to the market was fantastic. Luca and Carmela are a joy to be with and made learning fun. We felt very accomplished to have made our own pasta and met some great co-students. A big plus is the view. What a beautiful area of Florence. I highly recommend this tour!

This was one of our favorite things we did while in Florence! Luca, our host/chef, was a hoot! So entertaining! And Carmela was a great chef with lots of energy. Loved all the food we made. My only complaint is that the group was a little big. I think we had 26 people, so we couldn’t all participate in all the steps. The location was beautiful, going to the market was fun and the last stop at the leather school was an added bonus!

We signed up for the class hoping for a unique adventure. That is exactly what we got. Luca was a delightful and funny guide. Carmela was animated and helpful as she taught us how to cook all in Italian with translation peppered with humor from Luca. The food was delicious and I hope to enjoy them for years to come! I highly recommend and will enjoy sharing this experience with my friends and family.

The class itself was a fun, hands-on experience, but what pushed the tour to 5 stars was the upbeat attitude of the chefs, informative tour of the market, and discussions of the history of the food and Florence as well as recommendations of things to do and places to go. I’m looking forward to receiving the recipes so that I can share them with friends at home as well as visiting the recommended restaurants and sites while here.

This was a highlight of our trip, including our three teenagers (17,15,15). The entire experience was fantastic, well organized, interesting and entertaining. We loved Luca and Carmela. Highly recommend!!!

We really enjoyed our market tour and cooking class. Our chef/tour leader Luca had tons of energy and personality. The market tour took about an hour, and we were treated to a few samples. The bus ride to the farmhouse wasn't long, and it's an absolutely gorgeous setting. For a class with 26 people, there was quite a bit of hands-on activity. The best part was having the chance to make our own tagliatelle as well as our own individual tiramisu. We'd definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun (and delicious!) activity while in Florence.

Highly recommend this experience! My family of five (2 adults and 1 teen kids) had the best time! Luca was so funny and we learned so much! The food was delicious! We loved the market experience and the villa was beautiful! It’s December, the morning market shopping was chilly!!
