"Celeste" in Spanish means celestial, paradisiacal and also the light blue color of the clear sky. These adjectives perfectly describe the area you will visit in this tour.
On the flanks of the Tenorio Volcano National Park, this 7 km hike takes you to the point where the river Mother Nature magically mixes the water of two crystalline streams, changing its color to the beautiful blue light we call Celeste. Continue to "the pots", the depressions in the clay-filled soil with supposed therapeutic properties and the Tenorio Volcano hot springs. The trail continues through the forest until you reach the dazzling waterfall of Rio Celeste.
During all this time, the surrounding jungle is full of life forms, smells and incredible sounds.

We stayed at Noah’s Forest by Tifakara and booked all adventures through them as well as our private transportation to and from the airport. Glass Frog drivers were the best!!! So knowledgeable, friendly, and will stop to show you local wildlife and ensure you get your photo ops taken care of. It was so nice to have transportation taken care of so we only had to show up for our adventures.
I’d highly recommend the La Fortuna waterfall, hanging bridges, and Arenal volcano combo. Cool, clear water for a refreshing swim to start the day. Then you trek back up the stairs to hop on the bus for your next adventures: hanging bridges and Arenal volcano. Simply breathtaking views. A must do!!

My 8yr old, husband and I did a hike just below Volcán Arenal with our wonderful guide Isaac. He made the trek fun and interesting for all of us - from my seasoned-climber husband to my first-time hiker son. Isaac was very knowledgeable about the local plants and animals, and equally well-versed in the area’s geography and history. Isaac was patient and kind with my 8yr old, making time to show him his spotting scope, let him use the equipment and understand it, and ask many questions. After our hike, we had fresh watermelon and pineapple waiting for us. We have enjoyed a lot of adventure travel, but this was the first time with our son and we couldn’t have had asked for better experince.

We loved our tour with Isaac! The hike around the volcano was perfect -not too strenuous and we leaned a lot about the volcano’s history and got to see the volcano pretty close up. We enjoyed the fresh fruit break before heading to the Fortuna waterfall. There are a lot of steps down to the waterfall but they are very safe and you can take your time. Swimming at both waterfall spots was the highlight for my teens. We were allowed to take our time and really enjoy the beauty and cool off in the water for a while. We finished the tour with a nice traditional Costa Rican lunch that was healthy and delicious. A really special and memorable day!

We booked this through our resort, The Springs. Isaac was our guide and the entire thing was fantastic. Isaac and the driver were both great. Isaac was incredibly knowledgeable and so friendly and such a great guide. Get him to tell you some stories… He's got some great ones. The tour itself is good. The hike is interesting and can be is harder easy as you make it. The waterfalls were breathtaking and well worth the effort. Would absolutely recommended and do it again. Gonna use our photo w Isaac as our Christmas card!

What a day! Driver Esteban and guide Carlos - the dream team - took our group on a day tour in La Fortuna. Not only did we get a lof of information about the area, animals, plants..., Carlos did everything with such enthousiasm and love for his surroundings! He ran up and down the trails to show us monkeys, tucans (tuki tuki!), sloths, snakes, spiders, birds... We learned about the 'monster' volcano, had a terrific lunch and relaxed in the waterfall. Everything went very smoothly, Carlos and Esteban took care of everything and made sure we had a great experience. Definitely recommend this tour!

We had a glorious time with our guide Milo and driver Juan. They were so knowledgeable and we felt like we were being guided by family. We learned so much and saw some rare critters because Milo knew right where to look. We loved it. Pura Vida!

Absolutely no regrets!!
Our guide Joseth was amazing - like AMAZING AMAZING.
He was so knowledgeable, kind, and sincere in his work. You can tell he truly loves doing this job and loves the outdoors. My kids became such good friends with them and I can’t be more grateful to him. He would literally go out of his way to find animals for my kids and husband. I love that he always made sure we enjoyed the tour and we got every bit of the moment from it all. He paced himself with us and started to understand what we liked and worked with us.
It rained and I watched this guy make sure my kids were under the umbrella even if he was getting drenched himself. I won’t forget this 🙏.
I had asked him what his favorite restaurant was in conversation and then I requested to take us there though the company had booked elsewhere. He and the tour company accommodated this request and that truly feels special. This is what VIP tour is about. Clients come first.
I seriously can’t recommend him enough. Literally everyone should be asking for Joseth.
