Donatella was an exceptional and dynamic guide. If you want to spend three hours with someone who is well versed in ancient Roman history and has the ability to be funny and knowledgeable then book the underground Colosseum tour. You will be talking about this when you return home. I guarantee it.

Tour was small, only 4 people plus the guide. Our guide was funny, very informative, interactive with group, moved at a good pace, he was interesting. Of course, the Colosseum was amazing and Bogdan, our guide, made it even better.

Our private tour of the Colosseum was well worth the wait and the price. Our guide Nicoletta was an archeologist and very knowledgeable, able to answer all our questions easily. She didn't rush us round at all and took time to explain everything in detail.
We would highly recommend her as a guide and the private tour.

Well worth it, our tour guide Philipè was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable and passionate and was extremely helpful when answering questions and taking photos! The tour was truly incredible, the colosseum itself was phenomenal and the added tickets of the Roman forum also was great to skip the queues!

Gabriel was our guide for the first 2/3s of the tour and he was exceptional. He is an archeologist and his passion and enthusiasm was infectious. His knowledge and excitement for effectively communicating this rich history and culture to such a diverse group was nothing short of awe inspiring. He managed to engage each members attention into each detail as we traversed the VERY DIFFICULT ROCKEY. Walkways (I called broken ankle way) his book of completed depictions of how the building would have looked were a bonus that filled in the blanks of our overwhelmed imaginations. The entire trip was overwhelming and it will take months to fully return to normal after learning so much! Gabriel mad this tour exceptional, consider your self fortunate if you are ever lucky enough to discuss Roman history with this man! Brilliant! Excellent tour!

Gigi is the best tour guide!! If you take the underground tour - take my advice and ask for Gigi!! An archaeologist- super educated, knowledgeable and funny! Loved it!! Highly recommend!

We were met by our guide Bogdan who whisked us straight through all the people queuing and security so we started our trip really promptly. It felt like we were VIP’s! He was very knowledgeable telling us all about the history of the colosseum, how it was used in the day and how it’s been restored since. It was a scorching hot day so being underground was a blessing as it was so cool. He allowed us time to fill up our water bottles as it got hotter on the upper floors He had a wicked sense of humour and kept us amused the whole time ! He also offered to take family photos on our way round which is always nice. We were on a very tight schedule as we were only in Rome for the day (we were on a cruise) - we wanted to see all the sights but actually go into the colosseum. If we had gone In by ourselves we wouldn’t have made it back to the ship as the queues were so long This trip is expensive but for us it was worth it as we got to see everything we wanted on a very tight timetable!!

Colosseum underground tour was excellent. Our tour guide Mario did an amazing job and our teenage kids really enjoyed the underground history of the colosseum. Highly recommend this tour and Mario as a guide!
