Skip the long lines and enjoy an Access-All-Areas tour of Rome’s mighty Colosseum, including parts usually restricted to visitors with a regular ticket. In this tour, you will be able to explore the subterranean underground chambers of the Colosseum, where the wild animals were held and the gladiator prepared before battle. You will also stand in the very area where the bloody gladiator battles once took place and saw unparalleled views: the Arena floor. As you stand there and see the same view the gladiators once saw, imagine hearing the roar of the crowds that must have welcomed them. Then, climb up the gorgeous Palatine Hill for breathtaking views, and descend into the Roman Forum, which you will explore thoroughly with your expert guide.

• IMPORTANT: All names provided at time of booking MUST MATCH a valid piece of Photo ID for each traveler. Failure to input correct names will result in a loss of the tour as per current Colosseum regulations.
• Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
• Proof-of-age for teenagers under 18 years is required
• Please note: large bags, backpacks and suitcases are not permitted in the Colosseum and Roman Forum. Only small bags are allowed. Glass bottles and containers are also not allowed. Please do not bring these items with you on the day of your tour as there are no cloakrooms at the Colosseum
• Due to extreme weather conditions, the Colosseum Administration may limit access to some or all of the restricted areas (Colosseum, Arena Level and Third Tier), to ensure security of its visitors. No refund will be granted on these rare occasions
• UNDERGROUND AND ARENA: The access to the restricted areas of the Colosseum (Underground and Arena) may be shared among other participants in the our exclusive entry slot. At times, for safety reasons, logistics and traffic control, the group may be led by one guide. This choice is at the complete discretion of the Colosseum's administration and security policy of that day in accordance to adequate safety measures. Please be aware that this is only for 30/40 minutes of the total duration of the tour. Our max 6 people policy is guaranteed for the remainder of the duration of the tour.
• GENERAL ENTRY:Please note that for safety reasons the Colosseum can accommodate up to 3000 people at once. This could lead to delays in access to the site, even for pre-booked visitors. Please be on time!
• English Language Only
• Due to recent changes in Colosseum ticketing regulations affecting all guides and all tour operators, there is a chance that the Colosseum will not allow guides to accompany their groups for the short 20 minute portion of the underground. In this circumstance, your guide will share all the historical insights prior to your entering and a member of the Colosseum staff will join you for this portion of the tour. This change is affecting all guides in all tour operators. If you would like, you can install the Parco Colosseum official app on your phone and download the Colosseum Experience audio recordings prior to arriving.

This was supposed to be a tour of the underground portion of the Colleseum. Last minute they told us that we couldn't do that portion but could do the arena floor and they would refund some of the money or give a full refund and we could cancel. We agreed to the change, but found that it wasn't really what we were hoping for. We had toured the Colleseum and Forum before, so that was a repeat for us. The only new portion was the Palatine, which we had high hopes for. We found this portion to be quick and not really provide the kind of tour we were hoping for. The tour guide repeatedly talked about Romans and their history, but the focus on the actual site we were at was minimal, we had no time to explore on our own, so we missed a lot and it was disappointing. The guide was personable and knowledgeable but just didn't provide the type of tour we were hoping and have experienced in the past.

Can't speak more highly of the tour and our guide. Guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. Was amazing to walk through and learn all about the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend this tour. A few changes had to be made due to new management at the colosseum but this wasn’t the tour operator fault. Our time spent with our guide was full, informative and interesting. I recommend you wear good shoes and take lots of water.

I wouldn't do the Colosseum except in the small group tour. Maneuvering through the crowds and the gates was a zoo. Our guide was interesting and informative. The underground portion was the icing on the cake. Though crowded, it was easy to find our guide at the meeting point.
