Highly recommend this tour. A few changes had to be made due to new management at the colosseum but this wasn’t the tour operator fault. Our time spent with our guide was full, informative and interesting. I recommend you wear good shoes and take lots of water.

I wouldn't do the Colosseum except in the small group tour. Maneuvering through the crowds and the gates was a zoo. Our guide was interesting and informative. The underground portion was the icing on the cake. Though crowded, it was easy to find our guide at the meeting point.

Barbara was an amazing tour guide. It was very helpful to have someone walk you through and tell you stories. Otherwise I don’t think I would have appreciated it as much. The little details and stories were great. I loved that it was a very small tour! It was myself and one family. It felt very personal and easy to ask any questions we had.

We toured the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum with Annalisa. We were so lucky to have Annalisa to ourselves. She is local to Rome and we valued the knowledge that she shared with us, she was so kind with her time and we honestly had the best tour with her. Would not hesitate to recommend LivTours, and Annalisa especially.

We had a small group of five on a Saturday around noon for the Colosseum and Roman ruins tour. Our tour guide, Deborah, was just incredibly amazing throughout the entire tour. She was so incredibly knowledgeable about the history and modern aspects of the Colosseum and other parts of the tour. She also has great connections inside of the Colosseum security, etc., as we did not wait in lines and went straight through security check points for the tour with her. Her historical stories about how the Colosseum was built in the role of the emperors, senators, Popes, and the gladiators and their families was extensive and very interesting! She tells so many meaningful and beautiful stories throughout the tour and enables you to envision life of the different levels of society during the time of the Colloseum and Roman Empire. Palentine hill was also interesting loved the view of Roma from the top garden area! I would also add that I did 4 other tours with guides while in Rome and Deborah was the best tour guide by far… all were good…. But she was the best!!! Seek her out for tours in Roma!!! The Colloseum tour was my favorite tour in Rome! Thank you Deborah

Lucy our tour guide was informative and allowed time for questions and pictures. The skip the line tour was well worth it just to avoid long line wait times. The Colosseum and Roman Forum is a must see if when visiting Rome.

Our guide Paolo was on-time, easy to identify, and the LivTour headsets worked well. We toured the Colosseum and Palatine Hill. Paolo made the history come alive and his passion for why these sites are important to our modern society kept our group engaged and talking about the experience all evening. Paolo is a gifted storyteller and masterfully picked out just the right group members to act out our own gladiator battle, which gave rise to some memorable nicknames which persisted throughout our time in Rome. Paolo was also kind and considerate of one of our members who had difficulty with stairs and ensured she was able to fully participate. The guide truly makes the tour, and Paolo is exceptional. We used LivTours throughout our time in Rome and all of their guides substantially exceeded our expectations for their knowledge and ability to communicate in engaging and compelling ways.

I cannot sing enough praises for Liv Tours, Marco DV made our tour one of our best tours we had in Italy. He was engaging, personable, present and knowledgeable. He was witty and energetic which was needed as it was a chilly day. We highly recommend the small tour as it is the best way to get a very special experience. A your guidance can definitely make or break a tour, Liv Tours have amazing tour guides. Marco DV was simply the best.
