Following your exclusive Colosseum tour, we'll visit the adjacent triumphal arch – a towering masterpiece in white marble, which brims with intriguing details. Emperor Constantine had the monument erected in 315 AD to commemorate his victory over Maxentius a few years earlier – a battle he claimed to have won with the help of Christ himself. Despite his assertion, there are no Christian symbols in the arc. Instead, there are statues of Dacian prisoners and reliefs picturing Marcus Aurelius giving bread to the poor. The inside of the arch shows Emperor Trajan’s victory over the Dacians.
3. Roman Forum
Skip the line to the Roman Forum too, where you'll find yourself immersed in what once was the pulsing heart of one of the greatest ancient civilizations the world has ever known. See the incredible ruins of temples, and timeless columns as your guide wanders through the pages of history together for an incredible portrait of Ancient Rome.
4. Palatine Hill
Overshadowed by the Colosseum and Roman Forum, in reality, it’s the Palatine Hill that casts its shadow over both. Legend says it was here that Romulus founded Rome, setting the history we all know in motion, and the archaeological record confirms settlements began on this hilltop as early as the 8th century BC. This hill was so lavish in its heyday that the word “palace” actually derives from it. Follow your guide for some of the best views of the Caput Mundi, looking over the Forum on one side, the Circus Maximus on the other, and explore the extravagant remains of many an imperial palace.

We absolutely loved this tour - both the locations themselves and the thoroughness our tour guide provided on the historical context and background of the sights and Rome itself. It was engaging and well-paced.

Ferdinando was an amazing guide and would highly recommend him for this tour or any other one.

It was the perfect end to our trip to Rome & Italy

We just finished our tour of the Colosseum and it was fantastic! There were only 6 of us on the tour. We had access to the underground and arena. Our guide, Carlotta, had a degree in archeology and was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Rome and the Colosseum. She was also, very personable and fun. I highly recommend this company!

The tour did not start out on a good foot. We were to meet at 1:45 for a 2pm tour. No one was there and I noticed an email that the guide would be late and starting at 2:20 instead. By 2:30 she still had not arrived. 2:40pm she showed up with no apology or explanation to why there was a delay.
Once Esther arrived, the tour started and she was quite knowledgeable about the Forum and Colosseum. We also thought our tour included the lower level of the Colosseum, but she stated it was not part of this tour.
I would suggest the tour, but hesitate to give them high marks due to their lack of communication and lateness

The guide was so interesting and knowledgeable .. made the tour more exciting. We spent a lot of time in the Roman forum ruins and got entrance to coliseum floor which I think it important not many people here and you get a better prospective of the coliseum. If you don't get to enter coliseum floor you have to look down not up.

I would like to write a review for anyone who wants to read it. My mother and I had booked a semi-private tour, we arrived and Lara received us very well. She told us that we were the only ones participating in the tour. It was truly worth the money to do this. Lara knew so much about the different places, general things, and relevant topics to the conversations we had. She knew the smallest details of everything you could imagine. She was enthusiastic about her work and conveyed that as well. Mom and I had a really fantastic time with Lara. I hope you're reading this, really thank you so much, we are forever grateful to you for the beautiful memory.
