You get the entrance ticket and it’s all on your own, they send you the audio by email so make sure to bring headphones! And wear comfy shoes

Fantastic experience. Although it wasn’t made clear that the audio guide must be downloaded beforehand. By the time we arrived in the colosseum we were unable to access the audio.

You have to wait for a digital download to your email. Mine didn’t work day of and had to email Viator. They responded quickly but we were well on our way into navigating on our own, it was crowded and i wasn’t keen on keeping my head down looking for email and instructions. We just toured on our own without audio. Little disappointed and felt we missed out on historical information and significance of the Colosseum. So tech issues and when technology doesn’t work, your out of luck or take precious time to figure it out. You are better off taking the full tour with a guided tour with a in person tour guide!

Exploring the underground of the Colosseum was amazing. As well the guide was very nice and quite knowledgeable. The length of the tour was perfect too. Really enjoyed going through the tunnels and then to the upper level as it made the experience tie together well. In addition I enjoyed the info given on Gladiators, animals, mechanics of stage entries and elevators, etc.
