Cancelled week before. Had to rebook with another company for more$ at last minute. Discover rome had tours running so it was total money grab.

Booked through Trip Advisor (Viator) The Colosseum by night with Underground Access, Arena Floor (Skip the Line), for two total cost £172.00 for March 21st 2024.
Arrive 8.40pm, to start 9pm and it was closed!!!! Confirmed by the local Police outside of the building. This was booked on the 12th of March. After getting in touch with the actual tour operator in Rome, it appears that Virator went and amended the booking, because the night tours start in May!!!!!!
To add insult to injury, this was actually the only thing we had desperately wanted to see on our 3 day visit to Rome. So, do not trust Virator with a barge pole!! Why sell tours that do not exist and take your money, to claim NO REFUND!!!
The source Tour operator has assured us we will receive a refund. Nothing as yet.

More than we expected plus amazing customer service. This company went out of their way to help smooth out a mistake that I made. Even if they had not been able to make something happen, their efforts are greatly appreciated! Also, we never expected the virtual reality segment of the visit and it was a very enjoyable added surprise. The tour at night minus thousands of people in the Colosseum with no lines was ABSOLUTELY worth it great pictures, great video with a great guide. Highly recommend. Thanks.

Discover Rome has amazing customer service. I didn’t end up going on the tour because I accidentally booked the wrong date. I reached out to them see if they could make an exception to their no refund policy for cancellations and to my surprise, they did! They refunded the full amount. I hope to use them for future tours!

Not impressed at all by this tour The guide gave us very little information and history of the Colosseum. He just showed pictures on a iPad. Not worth the price at all

Due to our travel plans, we ended up booking a tour of the Colosseum at Night. I am so happy we did. I had previously toured it during the day but my husband had seen been here before. It was an unique experience for both of us. The pictures of the Colosseum at night turned out so well too. There were fewer people in the Colosseum too which made it nicer too.

We did not get to take this tour because of the following:
The tour operator contacted us at 11PM CET a few days prior to our scheduled tour to inform us the Colosseum had revoked his access and he was no longer able to provide us our $180 tour. His proposed solutions were for us to join an Italian language tour, (we do not speak Italian), take a daytime tour (we had other things scheduled) or join another company for a more expensive tour and then meet him late at night outside the colosseum to receive cash payment to cover the difference.
Further, he continually pressured me to cancel the tour myself, refusing to cancel it for us given that would make him look bad and would force him to admit he has lost access to the colosseum to TripAdvisor/Viator.
He never provided a reason for why only his access was revoked. It was all incredibly suspicious (Viator customer service agreed when I reached out).
I would avoid this tour and book with someone else. Good luck!

The touring company, Discover Rome Tours, were VERY disorganized. The only reason I gave this experience a 3 was because of this. Our time was slotted for 8pm and then upon arrival we find out we have been moved to a later time. We had not eaten because we had reservations for after. By the time we had waited and were done we had not eaten, were very tired and nothing was open to eat. No one was helpful in this experience. The tour itself was very informative and well done. Bravo to the tour guide!!
