Full-day tour to Toledo from Madrid. Upon arrival in Toledo we will be received by our Official Local Tourism Guide, and then we will enjoy spectacular panoramic views from the "Mirador del Valle".
Later, a guided tour of the city awaits us. This was the cheapest tour but it provided what all the others do - transport in a comfortable coach bus, a panoramic tour of Toledo so you get an idea where to visit and take some great photos and a local guide for a 1 hour waking tour through the city's old centre. You then have around 4- 5 hours to visit inside the monuments you're interested in, get some lunch then return by coach to Madrid.

Toledo is a medieval town that is very hard to navigate for anyone parachuting in for the day. No instructions for how to get back to the bus at the appointed time was given. After being led through the labyrinthine streets, we were given free time but getting back to the bus was a real challenge.
Also the guide didn’t seem to care about head count. One older participant went to the washroom and ended up being left behind. Once we got into Toledo at the top of the hill, the guide had no idea how the older man could be reconnected with. He said he couldn’t even call the bus driver down below to see if the older man was with him or not. Suffice it to say, there are serious challenges with how the tour is conducted.
