Classic 30-Minute Gondola Ride in Venice

Gondola driver talked on the phone for the entire 30 min ride. He got into a shouting match with another gondola driver. We were crunched together with so many people on the boat that we couldn’t get any good photos.

If you are visiting Venice for any reason, but especially for celebrating an important occasion, this photo shoot is a must-do. We showed up ready for the photo shoot: decided what to wear; if to carry a purse, wear a coat, casual or semi-formal wear; and came up with a couple of ideas of what poses to do or what background to have once we got to St. Mark’s plaza. The rest of the poses will be guided by what your photographer would suggest to you. We had a very efficient photographer, Mussa. All the photos were perfectly how we were hoping they would turn out to be. Yes, we do enjoy taking selfies, too, but a photo shoot makes each moment captured more special and memorable. I highly recommend this if you have a budget for at least two activities when in Venice: the photo shoot is one and the second is perhaps that other activity you have in mind such as a short gondola ride (also a must-do) or a food tour. By the way, the photos were emailed to me within three days. Excellent service, indeed.

Excellent ride. Had a great time. It really was fun. Great value for your money. The others companies were expensive.

It was a chilly, damp day but not crowded so we had some canals to ourselves. We did the 30 minute tour and it was plenty for us to get a feel for it. It was a few minutes on the major canal then smaller ones where we could see the real Venice.
The gondolier was not the least bit friendly but maybe that's their style.

there were 4 of us traveling (2 parents, 2 teens) and it's hard to go to Venice and not get on a gondola. Knowing we had limited time as we were there just as a day trip I booked this in advance so I wouldn't have to arrange another ride. It's totally cheesy and because the gondolas can hold 5 people, there were a lot of random people put together in a group - not the experience I would necessarily want. We were lucky to just have the 4 of us. All the gondoliers line up, people get in them like a cattle line, they follow the same route like ants end to end which takes slightly less than 30 min. It's expensive for what it was and it felt like Disneyland. But, the family wanted a gondola ride and they got one. I would not call the ride "classic" by any means. My expectations were low and they were met.

We went on a 30 minute boat ride.
The boat was called a gondola.
The driver said nothing.
Nothing about the city nothing about history. Couldn't or didn't speak English. Trip Advisor gave bad address no one on the island knew where it was

It was short ride without complete route, it was only 20 minutes, not 30 minutes.

Shared a ride with my wife and 1 other person...preferably would of done it with just us but still very enjoyable.. worth the experience when in venice
