Tour was extremely touristic. You have the impression that you are asked to pay every time for everything.
The tour brings you to touristic shop and you spend an hour there to look at overpriced items while you could spend more time in the cenote or in valladolid.
Chichen itza was beautiful.
Guide was good especially at the beginning but then it becomes obvious that everything is done to take more money.
Food was not good at all for lunch.
Bus is comfortable (good seats, toilets, usb plugs) but no wifi.

The tour guide was absolutely incredible. Very knowledgeable and funny! The bus driver was also immaculate — very smooth and comfortable ride. Chichen Itza and the Cenote were jaw-dropping. The lunch was delicious, too!

Tour was very good, met my expectations. Chichen itza tour guide was well worth this tour, very knowledgeable and entertaining.
On a downside, thus 4 stars instead of five, was the fact that aircon in the bus was blowing hard, down to 19 degrees Celsius, freezing cold for everyone on the bus. Complaining did not help. Also, if you are tall, there won't be enough legroom and you will be suffering through the bus ride.
Lunch was not great but OK, but bring your own condiments otherwise it's tasteless. There was no salt, paper or any sauces. Expect fairly expensive drinks.

Pick up was 7:20 from hotel included in the price for us. But next stop was their store where we had to wait in a long line to pay our balance. It was 8:50 before we got on the road. First stop Valladolid was a drive by because it was busy season. Never got out of the bus there. Next stop lunch at small village. Chicken on buffet was great, some food average. More waiting there. Next stop Chichen Itza made it all worth it. Great tour guide for our bus: Aldomaro (? spelling) was inspired, respectful, interesting and knowledgeable. Last stop Cenote was one hour. Water hole was beautiful and refreshing after the heat at Chichen Itza. Back at our hotel at 9:45 . We were one of the last drops.
Worth all the waiting.

We were picked up at a nearby meeting point, escorted to the main office to pay the tourism tax and assigned to the group based on our packages. This process took over an hour but it seemed like all the tours had to follow this process. Our first stop was a Mayan store whose artifacts supported the local Mayan schools and that was our lunch spot too. The tour guide David used the long bus ride to acquaint us with the basics of the Mayan culture, the various Mayan souvenirs and we played a few games too. The store did not use tricks to sell us stuff and the buffet lunch was decent….no complaints. The highlight of the trip was the next stop Chichen Itza which I truly enjoyed. David explained all the tourist traps which kept us safe and we had a local guide who explained all the details at the Chichen Itza very well. The local guide was kind and answered all the questions of this curious bee. The next stop was the Samaal cenote and we had an hour here. It was sufficient as you are expected to swim only for 10 mins though no one strictly enforces it. You will have to pay for a life vest and a locker if you decide to swim which costs 60 pesos each. I had a life vest of my own but the cenote needed me to use theirs so I kinda had to pay anyways. It was a refreshing experience after a long day in the sun…the water is not cold as the rumors say…probably in the 20s(Celsius). The last part of the trip was a 30 mins stop at Valladolid which was mostly spent buying food cause we were hungry by then. I think we could have used a little more time here to eat comfortably cause a lot of stalls have a queue. I managed a quick trip to the church and walked around the main garden…not much to see frankly. I had some churros and guess what?? Each plate comes with two churro sticks and you can opt for two different flavors. I loved them!! Finally it was time to go home and they dropped everyone at their hotels, more or less. The trip actually lasted 15 hours from meeting time to drop off so prepare accordingly.

A LONG day, but enjoyed catching all 4 activities. Julio was a good guide. Kept the explanation moving and interesting.
Pickup location directions were weak, had to hunt and ask for help.
