Be sure to bring sun protection hats, sunglasses, etc. and wear comfortable shoes. But it's worth every cent.

Swimming in the cenote was the best part, especially after a hot day in the sin looking at the ruins.

My husband and I just returned from a short trip to the Riveria Maya. We took the 1/2 day tour to Chichen Itza with Cancun Advertures. We were picked up at our resort. They arrived 10 minutes early. Our guide was Micael and our driver was Mr. Donnie. Micael was very knowledgeable about the Mayans and their culture. He was patient and answered everyone's questions and gave us plenty of time to take pictures. Our driver was also fantastic. He stayed with the bus and allowed us to board when we were done early so that we didn't have to sit in the humid weather waiting on the others to return. Lunch was provided in Valladolid and it was every good. I highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to get both Mr. Donnie and Micael.

Highly recommended. Our Tour guide, Mario was excellent. He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic to share. It's a jammed back day that does not disappoint. Be prepared to be out all day, but so worth it.

I really enjoyed most of the sites we went to but there were a few issues I had.
1. They say the day 12 hours which is already longer than I think is needed, but it was actually about 13.5 hours in all.
2. First was the Mayans. The guide (Jesus) had stresses on the bus NOT to buy from the vendors selling their works there that we were going somewhere after that to shop and we’d have much better options. There were so many great booths with handmade crafts, we even watched some stuff being made. I wish I would have bought there.
3. After the Mayans we went for lunch. The lunch was very good but after we ate, we watched a useless instructions on how the food was made and about some stones while we were standing in 95 degree heat. We then were taken into the “great store” and everything was like 4x the cost of what it should have been. Small turtle souvenir was $98. NO ONE from our group (about 75 ppl) bought anything other than snacks. He made us stay ant the store over 30 min. I really believe the guide was getting a kick back because why else would he have stopped us from buying at the Mayans.
4. We went to the cenote which was gorgeous. We were only given 1 hour though to get off the bus, change, get lockers, get life jacket, swim, get back in clothes and back to the bus. I would have liked more time to explore a little. I think the lunch place should have been skipped. Find a place to eat that’s not 25 min away. Spend 30 min at lunch rather than 1.5 hours to eat, hear about food being made and look at an outrageously priced store. Then have that extra time at the cenote and the place after.
4. After the cenote we went to a small outdoor craft town. It was so cute and I would have loved an hour there. He stressed 30 min and the bus will leave.
5. I have been on another tour in Cancun and it was a lot more personal. Smaller group and amazing guides. I have a pic with the guides because I felt like I knew them by the end of the day. This tour does not have that vibe at all.

It was fabulous. Our Tour guide Ricardo and associate Diego did such a great job Right from the very beginning of the two till end. Ricardo is a seasonal one with such a detailed background. He shared The log off his professional work around Mayan history and took us some specific areas.

Our guide, Ricardo, was very knowledgeable and we had such a pleasant experience at Chichen Itza. He gave clear instructions and all three destinations went as planned.

The ruin of Chichen Itza is a must to see when you are in Cancun Mexico and swimming in Ik Kil Cenote is one in a life time experience. Our only comment is that we cannot understand why we used more than 1 1/2 hrs. to show us how to cook their native food and how to make the ceramic. We understand that they want to sell something but using more than 1 1/2 hrs. for that then giving us only 1 hr. for us to enjoy the swim is unfair. My husband heard that others have the same opinion too. The tour guide is Nice but too much information on the way to the destination is very tiring too. Our tour guide Henry in the ruins is brief and very informative.
