If you want to visit two of the most iconic ruins in Quintana Roo, swim in a cenote, and taste a typical Mexican buffet lunch, this is your tour!

Head to Cobá early in the morning to visit this awesome place before the crowds arrive. This ancient Mayan city was placed near 5 lakes that were crucial for its development between 300 and 100 b.C. Learn about its history and the people who inhabited this magical place.

Visit Chichén Itzá, one of the seven Wonders of the World. There your guide will give you all the information needed to get you immersed in the Mayan Culture and the mysteries of this archeological site. Then you’ll have free time to explore it on your own.

After admiring the views, enjoy a typical Mexican buffet lunch. The next stop will be at the Cenote Chichi Kan, where you’ll be able to swim and relax right next to its impressive waterfall. To end the trip, you'll enjoy a quick panoramic visit to Valladolid

We went with the friends tour company. The guide Juam was excellent, very friendly, and very clear in his explanations. The only thing that might need to be changed is to see if the fees, vests and lockers could be paid sooner without having to run around looking for where to get the money from. We didn't have Mexican pesos and they didn't accept credit cards everywhere and that issue was a nuisance. All in all it was a great experience.

We took the tour with the guide Juam and the driver Carlos. They were both very friendly and the guide was charismatic and explanatory.
The only thing is with the company, they did not make it clear how much was going to be spent and whether or not you could use a card. So the first problem we had was with a payment.
It would be nice if they offered the excursion with the final value of it.

Pros:
+ punctual
+ good communication beforehand and responsive to questions
+ guide Marcela good energy and knowledgeable

Cons:
- different order of itinerary: Chichen Itza is actually last
- Incorrect info re cost of life vests and lockers (even though I had asked several times BEFORE the start of the tour) - life vests are MXN 100 pp and lockers MXN 100 (lockers can be shared); I had been told MXN 130 pp for life vests incl. lockers
- You are strongly encouraged to pay the entry for Chichen via a QR code that the tour provides (supposedly to avoid queues, which I saw none of upon our arrival) - note that this ends up including almost 10 USD in additional fees per person - entry fee is 548 MXN pp which is ~32 USD; we ended up paying over 41 USD pp

Had a good time! The fact that Rodrigo grew up there made it authentic, personal, and informative. It’s the closest as a tourist to having a friend (who has humility and a sense of humor) show you around the region— which is a rare gem of an experience.

I had the opportunity to go with my family and the tour was incredible. Coba, Valladolid and especially Chicheén Itza are incredible places. We were assigned to the Amigo Tours agency and the guide Rodrigo was always attentive, friendly to questions and explanations. I highly recommend it. Don't forget to bring sunscreen with a hat because it's very hot. Essential water and repellent

Thank you very much, I hope to return again.

Greetings from CDMX :)
