Spend time at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, where they offer twenty-three acres of the property featuring lush plantings and space dedicated to the care of the 350 animals representing over 100 species in their collection. Visit and learn about animals during our in-park experiences, such as keeper chats, shows, and other encounters. You can even feed our giraffes or schedule a rhino encounter! Cool off at the Wharton-Smith Tropical Splash Ground or feed farm animals from the palm of your hand at The Barnyard Buddies Children’s Zoo. Open daily from 9:00 to 5:00. Then head to Historic Downtown Sanford and pick up your golf cart rental to explore this charming global travel destination featuring award-winning restaurants, craft breweries, world-class events, art galleries, a spectacular marina, a multi-use scenic trail, and more!
