You will be touring the city of Tangier and its surroundings in the northern part of Morocco. Visit Kasbah district next to the port, old Medina with its craftsmanship shops, magnificent Minaret, cape Spartel and Hercules caves.

Tangier is definitely only worth one-day visit. The whole country clearly has a good marketing scam going on, it is really underwhelming. Worth maybe 3-4 days' visit if you want to see a few cities, but don's stay longer, there isn't much to do. Tangier has a really beautiful coastline, the places where Mediterranean and Atlantic meet is gorgeous, Hercules Cave are worth a visit, but the rest of the city is kind of bland. The usual medina, narrow streets, shopping, etc., nothing else to see. The train was of a great quality and was on time. Drivers and tour guides that met us were also fantastic and very friendly.

So we did the Tangier Half-Day Guided City Tour. It started out great, took us to a lighthouse, the ocean, the Hercules caves, and a castle…. But then it took a turn for the worse. Once we arrived at the castles, we all got off of the bus and we weren’t told we would be brought anywhere besides the castle. The tour guide then lead us to a shop of herbal supplements where we had to sit through a long lecture about different products and what they could do for you, then people were asked if they wanted to purchase anything. Once the lecture was over, we went outside because we didn’t want to buy anything. This is when we started getting harassed non-stop into buying products. The tour guide disappeared for a while so we had to endure the harassment. Many people were suckered into buying stuff which only fueled the street vendors to keep pushing. Fortunately I didn’t budge. When you told them you weren’t interested, they would get upset. Our guide finally came back and lead us to a restaurant where he said we were going to eat, but nobody wanted to eat there. We all came together and told him we weren’t going to eat there and so he agreed to leave. He then brought us to a fish market and right before we entered, he turns to us and says “watch your pockets in here”. Why bring us somewhere you know poses a risk for theft?! After this, I began telling the tour guide that the beginning of the tour was great but all of this harassment and the fact that I believed he was leading us to businesses where they could suck us into buying stuff, had ruined my entire experience. My girlfriend and I had stuff on the bus so we would have just left if it wasn’t for our belongings. The tour guide offered to bring us to more markets but none of us wanted to go somewhere we needed to “watch your pockets”. I told him I wanted to go back to the bus to get my stuff and several others agreed. He called his driver and then told us that it would be 15 minutes because the driver was eating. Keep in mind, Ramadan began yesterday and this is in the middle of the day. I asked if the driver celebrated Ramadan to which the guide told me he does. So he is eating even though it’s Ramadan? Absolute lie. Once I told him how it didn’t make sense that the driver was eating during the holiday, he said he didn’t know where the driver was and that we would have to wait two hours. I told him that he could reimburse me and I would let him keep my stuff I had on the bus because I knew he wouldn’t do it and would pressure the driver to return. The tour guide was nice but proved to be shady and someone I would not trust. If I were you, I would say the the lighthouse, ocean, Hercules caves, and castle were extremely beautiful and well worth visiting. But keep all of your belongings with you at all times so if you feel yourself being sucked into a harassing tourist trap, you can just leave.

Had a wonderful time. Both our guides were amazing. And very knowledgeable. They were patient with us, allowing us to walk at our pace. Would definitely recommend this tour.

When I made the booking, the weather forecast indicated pleasant conditions, but unfortunately, it ended up raining. This dampened our enjoyment of the experience. The tour lasted approximately 6 hours in total, with around 2 hours and 10 minutes lost each way for the train ride and approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes allocated for lunch. I believe we would have enjoyed it more in better weather to fully appreciate the beauty of Tangier.

The tickets were sent ahead of time. The driver took us from our Airbnb to the train station. Explained which train to take and then upon arrival the next driver was waiting on time for us at the arrival train station. Then the tour of Tangier started. Very well spoken English and knowledgeable tour of the city.

Transport too small for 4 adults for length. Did not enjoy the walking tour guide, felt he just needed to get us through 100 places and would prefer 90 but able to enjoy the city more.

I was hesitating to book this trip after reading some comments but everything went well. The hotel pick ups and trains went well. This was a nice day trip. First we were picked up at the hotel and handed our train tickets. In Tanger, we were met by Hamza who drove us around Tanger showing sites. Then we met Abdul at the Medina for a walking tour. He knows everyone and everything and showed us through the Medina. The only reason that I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the restaurant. We were low on cash so we asked for a place that takes credit cards. There are only a very few restaurants that offer this service. We went to Mamounia Palace restaurant, which turned out aweful. We informed our guide about our experience and he was very sorry. Otherwise it was nice. We only went into one shop, a herboriste shop, so off course after the demo they wanted to sell you spices and herbs but when we said no they were not insistent.

Everything went perfect, pickup and drop off was great and on time. Bullet train was great and all stops were better than expected, lunch was great. Couldn't ask for a better day. There is lots of walking and a fair amount of steps but not a problem if mobility is good. Friendly and helpful guide and driver. Highly recommend Abdoul (guide) and Mufasa (driver)

I was worried this wouldn’t be very good because of other reviews. But they showed me a ton in such a short period of time. Tangier is beautiful, the food was great, and I plan to return for a few days because there was so much to see and worth taking more time. Accommodating and knowledge guides.
