We used NLG several times to get around. We took the blue grotto tour that was excellent!! I high recommend then. We also used them to go from Capri to Naples on our last day where we were staying the night before returning home to NY. The fee for luggage was $3 per piece. There might be a limit of 1 bag each but not for personal items like a back pack or small piece of luggage that you can carry. The ferry to Naples was a little less than an hour and on a beautiful day so much to see. I can recommend them enough. You can book on line or just go to the port and book it but on season might be booked up. So don’t take any chances and book ahead. Everyone was so nice. We went in May and it was very crowded but pretty well organized. Yes you have to wait on line but it seems everywhere you go there’s a wait. Make new friends while you’re waiting. Also The crew was so nice and helpful. Honestly I don’t understand some of the negative reviews. We used them about 4 times with no problems during the busiest time of the year.

This tour was amazing!! The boat crew were so kind and courteous. My taxi dropped me off to the wrong marina and they went out of there way to find me. I am so thankful. The boat ride was beautiful and the ride was great. They explained key landmarks on the way and took us up to many grottos and the famous lovers rocks (Faraglioni). We were offered drinks and snacks on board. The blue grotto was closed due to weather and high tide, that was out of their control. They did take us to the white and green grotto. I would definitely book with them again.

The day was fantastic from start to finish. Our guide and boat captain were so much fun, the experience of seeing the Blue Grotto is one we will remember for the rest of our lives. Then we spent time in Capri and then finally swimming off the coast of Capri. So much fun.

Amazing! Although we couldn’t visit Blue grotto because of sea conditions, we have marvelous time viewing the sights. We saw the White & Green grottos as well as enjoyed views of Faraglioni rocks & lighthouse.

Views were amazing, guide was friendly and the boat ride was enjoyable. We didn’t get to swim or snorkel as it was too cold (maybe it would have been nice if we would have had a price reduction due to that). The blue grotto was closed due to high tide, which was a pity!

We enjoyed our trip to the Blue Grotto and Capri. Early arrival at the Blue Grotto was great! We were the second group to enter. Our guides took time to share additional sites. The enthusiasm Luis showed was so engaging and fun. Finding a better way to help folks disembark in Capri would be suggested.

We had a great trip on the boat over to Capri. The captain and first mate were delightful, the day on the water was relaxing and fun. There were about 12 of us and it was great to hang out with and meet other travelers in this beautiful environment!

good to know: When getting to Capri, we had to get on a smaller boat to get to the dock, then wait in line to take the bus or taxi into town. They pack the buses to standing room only...this whole process takes a while, cutting into your time in Capri. If it isn't high season, and Capri is somewhere you want to spend more than 1- 1.5 hours, the Ferry might be a better option.

If, like us, you just really wanted to be on the water and in a smaller group, this is a good option.

What I would do differently:
If the Blue Grotto is a priority, I would take the Ferry over to Capri and book the Blue Grotto tour launching from there. That is what some Canadian couples did and they were able to get in on the same morning we were told we couldn't. I think our boat tour had other things to offer and that made the Blue Grotto less of a priority to the boat captain. It may also be helpful to have a guide to the tides in that area when booking. Sometimes at high tide, you can't go in.
