We got off the plane from the United States and this was our very first activity. It was a great way to start our vacation in Greece and to force us to stay awake and acclimate to the time difference. The day we came in there was a freak dust storm from the Sahara that covered Athens in a weird red fog. Still, even though our views may not have been as far-reaching as they could have been on a clear day, they were still very impressive.
Our tour guide was awesome. She made sure everything ran smoothly and communicated well with all of us. She made the trip an absolute delight.

From the very first minute our guide Katerina was welcoming and cheerful. Her storytelling was funny and captivating. She and the driver Kostas also went out of the way to drop us at our hotel afterwards. It was an enjoyable experience overall.

It was a very good trip, Lili and Fotis were very professional. Choosing Getaways Greece to visit Cape Sounion was a good decision. We especially liked that they took us also to the beach.

Teddy was amazing. He had so much knowledge it was unbelievable for a young man. He was very funny which made the tour fantastic. Definitely would recommend and hope you get Teddy for the guide.

The tour to Poseidon’s Temple and the beach - was amazing! The site of the temple is gorgeous - and awe inspiring. Lily, our tour guide was fabulous! She provided a great synopsis of Greek mythology, stories, and info about ancient and modern Greece. Her style was casual and very easy to listen to so the info was accessible. Our lunch stop at the beach - delightful. Our bus driver was friendly and a good driver. Bravo!!!

We had a beautiful sunset tour of the Poseidon Temple and Cape Sounion with our guide Theo (Teddy George), who was impressively knowledgeable about the sites and Greek history. We made a few stops along the way at the Submerged Lake - very beautiful! - and a nice outside restaurant just before the cape. Our driver Billy made our trip safe and comfortable.
All in all, an excellent excursion, highly recommended while in Athens.

The pick up at a nearby hotel was a bit of a challenge, however our was guide was knowledgeable, friendly and willing to share info on various urtopics as we moved along the roads. He directed us to a local eatery that our whole group enjoyed. Thanks again Theo!

After a hectic few days exploring Athens, this trip to Cape Sounion was a welcome change of pace. The road to Cape Sounion followed the Aegean Sea and provided us with breathtaking views. We did the morning tour, and there were no crowds at the Temple of Poseidon. We had time to walk the hill around the Temple and to just sit and enjoy the view. Theodore, our guide, was knowledgeable and willing to answer any and all questions. He combined stories about the ancient gods with explanations of current day Greece. Chris, our driver, joined the discussions and proved to be very knowledgeable as well. On the way back from the temple, we stopped at a beach resort where we chose to have lunch. Everything ordered was delicious!

Exceeded expectations. Excellent view, tour guide, and transportation. Small group of 15. Cooler provided on mini bus. Stop at beach with chairs and small restaurant.
