The Cairo day tour began with the impressive Citadel site, Hosam, my guide, freely shared all the relevant historical, religious and architectural information. He also was selling Photographic DVD's of Egypt - which I felt obliged to purchase. Next, we did not go to the Khan El Khalili Bazaar as the Tour I had purchased and I expected to visit, instead we went to some dirt road lined with shops which Hosam said had the only Certified Egyptian wears and these shops all seemed to be expecting us? I learned about Papyrus, and bought an art piece. Next, the highlight of the Tour was the Egyptian Museum, Hosam gave a general introduction along with descriptions of several pieces he deemed note worthy. He then left me on my own to explore. Our driver Yasel, was trustworthy, a safe driver - but the guide and I were unable to connect with him at the end of the tour because his phone! was lost?!? The guide and I had to walk back to my hotel from the Museum. Certainly was a different Cairo Day Tour then I expected.....

We did the EMO full day tour of Cairo Private Day Tour to Egyptian Museum Citadel and Khan Khalili Bazaar with the Car+Guide+Entry fees+Lunch option. All the sights were wonderful, the guide (Ahmed) was knowledgeable and the driver on time.

However, we did not stick to the itinerary order. Instead of starting at Egyptian Museum, we started with the Citadel and Muhammad Ali Mosque. And finishing those two sights early, we went straight to Egyptian Museum at around 11:30 skipping lunch - we were not given an option. Needless to say, this cut short our time at the famed museum as we (with four kids) were hungry. We ended up having a very late 2:30ish lunch, which admittedly was good. We also spent hardly any time at the Bazaar which is a fascinating place (maybe 20 minutes - nowhere bear the 2 hours as advertised.

The poor time/schedule management did not make for a good tour. While the first half was fine, the rest spent hurried and hungry.

Great day, Mona was our tour guide, very informative and knowledgeable. She explained the different periods in the Egyptian museum and pointed out the main pieces that were of relevance. We were then take to the Citdel and mosque which were great. We.asked if we could skip the market and change to visit the hanging church which the tour company were Hhappy to do.

The citadel was so pretty! As we were there during Ramadan the market was only half open in the daytime hours but still super cool to explore. We chose the Grand Museum and the scale of that place is off the charts!

Our guide was wonderful, and structured the day well so we got maximum impact without crowds.

She was kind and helpful and great at giving our 9 year old some interesting history.

Was a delightful way to see the city.
