I loved that I was the only person on this tour! My pickup and dropoff location changed last minute and the tour company was so flexible. My driver, Mahmoud, was great! He made the tour more fun!! My tour guide, Mohammed, was so knowledgeable and patient.
This tour worked well for my long layover in Cairo! My highlights were the Pyramids, Sphinx, stopping to see the Nile River, and driving around Cairo. Lunch was just okay.
The only thing I absolutely didn't like was the tour addition to the perfume house! I found the man showing me the oils quite inappropriate with his scenarios of when to use the different oils. They hope you'll purchase after their presentation.
I'd recommend this tour without the addition to the perfume house!

Super convenient Cairo airport layover tour to Giza. Pick-up from terminal 3 and drop-off to terminal 1. Baggages also stored in the vehicle during the tour. Tour duration was 5 hours to us. We bought tickets also inside two of the pyramids. Our guide and driver were really nice and did not try to push anything unwanted.

I had an amazing one day layover in Cairo which I spend with my guide and driver Ola and Ebrahem. They picked me up from my hotel lobby and we drove to the pyramids. Ola has a wealth of knowledge of ancient and contemporary Egypt and shared a lot of it with me on the drive to the pyramids (1 hour?). Visiting the site is an amazing experience. You get to see the pyramids from up close, walk around them and take them in from a further distance after a short ride on camelback (600LE extra). Same with the sphynx and then a great local lunch buffet with a view of one of the pyramids. They can also take you to some local shops for souvenirs. Depending on the traffic and what you want to do this trip can take anywhere from 4 to 8 hours, which was perfect for me.
Other (longer) tours also visit Saqqara but I was really satisfied with my shorter tour. I can highly recommend the tour and specifically Ola who is a wonderful, experienced and patient guide.
Do bring some extra cash to make the most out of it and because the whole tourist sector depends on tips. Most Egyptians are quite nice about it but 15-20% is somewhat expected.

Don’t have any worries in booking this tour. I usually don’t leave reviews but it would be a travesty not to let others know about the tour. If you do pick this tour, please request Hazem. He’s very knowledgeable of the Egyptian culture and will go out of his way to make your layover memorable. He also takes the best photos. 10/10!

Sayed Mahmoud was our travel guide for the day and we loved every minute of it. He is very knowledgeable. Definitely a must do when you have a lengthy layover. He is highly recommended.
Mohammed was the driver and safety was always a priority for him. Always had a aircondtioned car (Definitely a must) after a walk in the sun.

Had a nice outing with our guide Sayed Mahmoud and driver Mohammed. We had an extensive tour of the pyramids and sphinx, very interesting and our guide went the extra mile to provide great photo opportunities. He was very chatty and open to any questions we had about Egyptian day to day culture. Our driver was very smiley and made us feel safe in the mad Cairo traffic. Lunch was excellent, definitely worth including in your tour. We added a sail down the Nile to our tour in a private sailboat. The skipper was lovely and let us helm the boat for a bit. All in all a lovely day tour, would recommend.
