Our project has been initiated in 2019 and was created with lots of love and passion. Our mission is to educate about these elusive fragile creatures and their significance, recover threatened pollinators, increase numbers of widespread species, and inspire people to understand them, deliver butterfly conservation, as well as promote awareness and protection actions in our diverse ecosystem. We are dedicated to environmental improvements that foster a sustainable future for generations to come and lead to social and economical improvements of our community.

This was a most interesting experience. Our guide was Danny, a biologist, and he explained everything very well. They had great examples of all of the stages in the life of butterflies and moths including there food sources.i would suggest arranging transportation in advance at it is not as well known as other tourist attractions in the area

The Butterfly Sanctuary is a little off of the beaten path, but it is 100% worth the trek. The guided tour provides educational/insightful information about each stage of the butterfly life cycle. If you get the opportunity to work with Fabian and/or Adrian, you will most certainly be in good hands. The tour ends with an incredible opportunity to release newly metamorphosized butterflies into the sanctuary! It was most definitely one of the highlights during my visit to Puerto Vallarta.

This a wonderful experience! It is one of three in Mexico. Great way to learn about native butterflies of Mexico and support an awesome project. Ran by six people who have a passion for these beautiful butterflies who are pollinators and so important for the health of our planet. Lovely experience. Don’t take the google maps shortest route. It’s easy to get lost!

We loved our tour at the butterfly sanctuary. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. Truly beautiful and learned a lot. Highly recommend

It's a young 2019 company which is really good, a nice little excursion, about an hour and a half. In a screened greenhouse, lots of butterflies and lots of flowers; the guide Dany taught us several things about caterpillars, chrysalises and butterflies.
We went there by taxi and the driver waited for us which is a good idea because it's not an area where there are a lot of taxis passing by. If you go there with your car there is free parking.

The tour at the butterfly garden was wonderful. While aimed at a younger crowd, maybe under teens, there was still enough to see and learn to make it enjoyable for adults. Our tour leader, Adrian, was very knowledgeable and made learning the life cycle of the butterflies fun. It's a short tour at about one hour, however you can spend longer in the sanctuary on your own. Off the beaten path so taxi or Uber unless you are comfortable with the Vallarta buses and the vagaries of their schedule!

This was a very interesting experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about butterfly lifecycle and preservation. You get to touch and see butterflies in all different stages of development. We were adults but I think children would enjoy this activity as well. We had our taxi driver wait for us because it is a little bit removed from town.
