Burj Khalifa: at the top (Level 124 and 125)

So don't believe what the info tells you it is highly misleading.
1. The slot you book is actually a 3 hour window. We arrived for a 4pm slot and was told its 4-7
2. You need to queue to get into the venue to just have your ticket validated then another queue for 45 mins
3. It does not take 1 hour as stated on the tickets it is more like 2.5 hours with the queues
Plan around this time not the 1 hour if you have other things planned

It's a little underwhelming in reality. Yes you can see some parts of Dubai but the constant dust and haze prevents decent views.

Far too many people are allowed in and the lift is seriously squashed.

It's a lot of money and honestly it's not worth it if you are working on a budget. Gift shop a total rip off

This experience is excellent for people who love to queue. The queue begins in a long snake around the ground floor of the shopping mall. This takes around 2 hours. Then when you think you’ve made progress you join a new queue and keep queuing and queuing. The time slots on the tickets are basically irrelevant. I spoke to people who had slots hours apart and who were all stuck in the queue. Occasionally groups sail past you wearing VIP stickers that enables them to skip the line. This makes the normal queue even longer. After a long dark lift journey the views from the top are great and then you join a long queue to get back down.

We had a timed reservation, booked months before, and we also showed much earlier than our reservation time. Apparently the timed reservation meant nothing, because we were in the same line as everyone who just walked up. We waited in an extremely long line for hours and hours. It was hot and uncomfortable, there was nowhere for older people or young children to sit, people were shoving against us, pushing up against my teen daughter and stepping on my younger children. Over 30 people cut in line and no one did anything about it. My purse did not come through the x-ray machine and when I asked staff for help they ignored me, meanwhile my younger children were pushed on ahead in the mass of people. The observation deck was packed with people and also a bunch of merchandise, to the point where you could barely get to a window to see out at all. One of the staff members up there actively pushed me out of her way with two hands. It was not accidental and there was no apology. There was very very limited toilet access for so many people, and then toilet we were able to get to was completely soaked in urine, not just the seat, but the sides of the toilet and the floor, it was disgusting. This is a very expensive experience for a group of six, took hours longer than it should have, and was extremely unpleasant, the most unpleasant experience of our 10 day vacation. I do not recommend and would never do it again without major changes in the operation.

You have to wait in line for ca 2.5 hours to see the view for 5 min. You also have to stand in line to get back down again.

Amazing project and engineering of a magnificent building that has so many hotels, offices, and residences located inside. Clearly the stunning views due to this amazing architecture built in such a short time. We went only to the 124th and 125th floors and it was more than spectacular. This excursion can feel crowded depending on time of day, week, and even year but the staff do a great job of keeping everyone moving forward and staying organized.

It was all going well until we were stranded 124 stories in the sky. We stood in a line for over an hour to exit… didn’t move… then were rerouted to a different floor. All while no process or oversight of the queueing process. Disappointed.

The view was spectacular!! I Highly recommend it. My 7 year old enjoyed every bit of it. There is a cafe and souvenir shop at the top and they offer to take lovely pictures which my kid really enjoyed.

Great experience. The queue at the bottom was maybe 20-30mins. It was not as long as some of the reviews I’d read.

The views were outstanding

Too expensive . Work is amazing even though using cheap labor from very poor countries. Why UEA is big time explotaing human being with less paying and making longer hours working. Phathetic.

Too many people shoved into elevator without air conditioning, people cheating the long lines on the way back. It was nice view but overall not worth it. This Borj Khalifah is overrated.
