We took this 3 night, 4 day cruise up the Nile from Aswan to Luxor on Christmas Day. Our tour guide, Mohammed, joined us on the cruise and took us to the temples each day. Mohammed was very knowledgeable and his English was great! We learned a lot about each site, as well as about life in Egypt from Mohammed. He taught me to write my name in Arabic, and showed me the different denominations of money. He was a very friendly guide and it was nice to have him with us throughout the cruise.
We visited several temples along the cruise route. We began with a bus ride through Aswan to get to Abu Simbel temples. We also visited edfu temple and kom ombo temple. It was surreal, seeing how the ancient Egyptians made and decorated these temples.
The room on our boat was large and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The views from our private balcony as we floated down the Nile were beautiful. We saw so much greenery, and people on the shores waved and yelled hello.
This cruise was amazing and was like sailing down history.
