Benjamin was very informative and the stories he shared made us better appreciate what life must have been like during those dark days as well as the customs which we knew very little about. Great tour and terrific guide. We would definitely recommend this tour for people visiting Budapest.

Our tour guide Ben was amazing!! This tour gives you much insight into the Dohaney Synagogue’s and the Hungarian Jew’s history. The tour was incredibly interactive, complex, and authentic; Ben encourages questions and discussion. Beautiful synagogue and tour!!

We attended the grand tour and it was brilliant! So much information to take in and wonderful sights to see. Our host was amazing every step of the way, very knowledgeable, always attentive and answering any questions we had perfectly. 10/10 recommend you do the grand tour and see all the extra sights!

Greta was an exceptional guide, she was obviously very well educated, and had an in-depth and personal knowledge of the Jewish history in Budapest. Her dialogue told a story so that each thing we saw made sense as to how things evolved. We did the 4 hour tour and although 4 hours might seem a lot of time, the interesting stories made the time pass very quickly. The museum was very interesting little addition to the tour, which added to our understanding of the Jewish faith.

A truly memorable experience visiting one of the prettiest places of worship I’ve ever seen. Also to hear the rich and tragic history of Hungarian Jews who have played a major role in the development of Budapest. Highly recommend taking a few hours to do this. Our tour guide Greta was a walking encyclopedia. I hope you get her as your guide.

Benjamin shared his personal experiences growing up as a Jew in Budapest and this made it a very personal experience. His command of the English language was excellent and he answered all our questions and engaged us in the tour by asking us questions as well.
