I highly recommend Nicolas Tours to anyone looking to see & learn as much as possible about Romania within a short timeframe. Nicolas is responsive, attentive, and customizes the tour to your interests and schedule.

My husband and I called him in the morning and we were able to reserve a tour for later that day. Nicolas is extremely flexible and accommodated us on the spot (based on our schedule and needs). He is highly knowledgeable and friendly! We enjoyed seeing important landmarks in Bucharest, learning Romanian culture and history, visiting a beautiful church, exploring some of Nicolas’s favorite food spots, eating traditional Romanian meals while enjoying traditional Romanian dancing and singing, and more!

We loved him so much on our tour of Bucharest, that we hired him again the next morning to take us to Peleș Castle before our flight! Overall 10/10, we will definitely be contacting Nicolas again anytime we are in Romania.

Nicolas is a 5-star-plus guide! Highly recommended! Whatever time period you are interested in, ancient, recent history, or modern times, Nicolas can take you on the journey. He has a gifted way to explain situations in a contextual and approachable way, sprinkled with some humor. He also took us a bit off the beaten path, showing neighbourhoods and giving us a "taste" of Romania, quite literally (Omnomnom)!
Recommended for the Bucharest city tour, and he also does tours in the rest of Romania!

We were so grateful to our Tour Guide, Dan, who went over and above to help us with the itinerary: there was a bike race in Bucharest which meant some roads were closed off. Dan worked around this and even spent extra time with us to ensure we had done all the items on the list. Dan was also very knowledgeable and answered all our questions too. Great guide and great organisation!

Nicolas was an AMAZING tour guide! Very funny, personable, and most importantly knowledgeable! My family and I did a short tour of Bucharest during a layover and he was able to tailor to the group’s interests and had really good snack and pastry recommendations. Do yourself a favor and book, you will be happy you did!

The guide had very little knowledge of the city or it's history especially during the time of the revolution.
He also suggested the going to old town was not a good idea as it was dangerous especially during the evening. We went during the day and really enjoyed the environment
