With this day trip, you will travel from Amsterdam to Bruges via motorcoach. Discover the city also known as "Venice of the North" with a English guide. Our bus will leave us in Bargeplein. Here we will have 10 minutes to go to the bathroom. The guide will explain at what time should we be back in the bus.
2. Minnewater Lake
Our first stop will be Minnewater, also known as the "Lake of love". With the beautiful lake on the background our guide will explain the history of Bruges as well as the love story occurred in this lake.

The next step of our tour will be the Begijnhof. Founded in 1245, this place saves the history of an incredible group of women.

In this beautiful square, our guide will explain us the history of Bruges beer.

Here our guide will teach us how to identify the original medieval houses.

You will have the chance to take some beautiful photos from the little bridge.

In front of Old St. John’s Hospital our guide will explain how the health system in the medieval Bruges worked.
8. Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk
In front of old St. John’s Hospital, we will find the Church of Our Lady. From the outside, our guide will explain us some curiosities of the white marble sculpture of the Madonna and Child created by Michelangelo that is inside the church mentioned before.
9. Gruuthusemuseum
In the front of Gruuthuse, we will get to know the most famous and powerful family of Bruges between the XVII and XVIII centuries.
10. St Bonifacius Bridge
In one of the most charming spots of Bruges, our guide will explain the interesting legend of this bridge. You will also have time to take photos
11. Quai du Rosaire / Rozenhoedkaai
In the most photographed place of Bruges, our guide will tell us about the history surrounding the "Pier of the roses". You will also have the chance to take some pictures.
12. Huidenvettersplein
Our next step is Tanners square, here we will learn about how tanners worked in the medieval Bruges.
13. Burg Square
In this square we find the Gothic Town Hall, the Old Court House and the Basilica of the Holy Blood.
14. The Markt
The last point of our guided tour is The Market Square or Grote Markt. Here our guide will explain the different buildings around the square and they will also give some tips about where to eat or which are the best shops to buy the traditional chocolate. The guide will also remember you when and where you must be to take the bus back to Brussels.

Free time, you will enjoy about 2 hours of free time (it depends on the traffic and the rhythm of the group).

Very nice day trip from Amsterdam. Blanca was a good guide and kept us on track. Nice balance between tour and free time. A long day but worth it to see Bruges.

The tour was informative and the sights were very interesting. Our guide, Alvero, was knowledgeable and friendly. He provided us with a tremendous amount of history and background information. The only downside was the weather which he couldn't control. The city is beautiful and worth a longer visit!

Tour guide Blanca gave a good summary of the history of Brugge and Belgium, took us to the main city sites, described their significance and left enough free time to roam on
our own. A long day but a safe journey from Jose the driver. A good day tour which allows as much free time as the long day allows.

It was a very nice day and the tour guide, Carlos, was excellent. We had plenty of free time to enjoy Bruges. The food and drinks was also good, especially the Zok.

Tour director -Carlos introduced himself at the beginning of the bus ride and said to take a nap and that we would talk at the halfway point before we stopped for a break for a rest stop and coffee. We did and that was fine. When we got to Brugge he said he had too many English speaking people and we would need to use his devices but. We had to pay one euro for the ear piece which we did. Carlos’ pace of walking was very fast and we finished the guided tour in less than two hours. The guided tour was supposed to last 3 hours. There were a number of seniors struggling to stay up with Carlos’ strides. Periodically he would stop in from of restaurants and try to get someone from his tour to make a reservation. My wife and I were very disappointed with this tour. I would not recommend Carlos or the tour company. Big disappointment!

If large group tours is what you like you may enjoy this tour, but if you prefer smaller groups then this is not for you. The tour was also focussed on Italian and Spanish with English as the 3rd language. It was often difficult to hear the guide. Out of the control of the tour company was also the amount of building and renovation work being done in Brussels.

Bruges is a must visit to experience the medeival times streets and architecture.
The day trip included a comfortable bus journey and is recommendable. Suggest to keep coins of 1 euro/50 cents handy as we were asked to buy water bottles from bus driver and also if you go to toilets/washrooms anywhere you would be asked to pay.

Outstanding experience! Carlos our guide was bery thorough in hitting the highlights and then gave great ideas for options during our free time. We ended up with a well rounded visit and would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Brugge. The hardest part of the trip was finding the departure destination as it was hard to locate even for locals. Otherwise this trip was a 10!

Brugge is a a beautiful city and should be done if traveling nearby. With bookings, I had no problem. Clear instructions to reach, enough time to enjoy the city and comfortable coach. It takes about 12 hours for full trip. Our local guide was fun

Bruges is a wonderful city with lots of beautiful sites and attractions.. We have used Viator previously. Unfortunately, this trip was subcontracted to another tour company (Buendia Tours). Our tour guide Blanca was very knowledgeable of the city and its attractions but was like drinking finally information from a firehose!!!. Our tour was completed in 80 minutes and we had over 3 hours of "Free time". And, were expected to find our way back to the bus, no map was provided.. After complaints about finding our way back to the bus, Bianca reluctantly agreed to meet us the central square. Even with her knowledge of the meandering return route, it took us 25 minutes to return to the bus. On the three hour return to Paris, we were informed that there was no stop for bathrooms. Will NEVER again go on a Buendia tour. Strongly suggest either Viator conduct the tour of find another tour company to subcontract. We will NEVER again use a Buendia tour.
