Joe was interesting and informative. Having the headsets was fantastic. I'm so glad we did this tour and think we got more out of our visit because of the tour.

Great experience. The directions on how to meet up with our tour guide could be more detailed- specifically stating that we needed to get in the queue for the museum.

Horrible experience. No contact info for tour guide was given to us. We had a 2:00 tour booked. The line was long, we got there 5 minutes early and got in at 2:15 - I emailed the company (only contact I had) at 2:00 saying we were there and in line. No response. We got in at 2:15 and we were told the tour guide left at 2:10!!!! No one contacted us directly about this or told us the guide would leave at 2:10. There’s always delays at these places and we had a private tour booked so we weren’t holding up a group. All could have been avoided had the guide met us outside the museum or we had the guide’s contact info. $310 gone. Never will I use this company again! I would give zero stars if I could.

Our guide was Tim and we did the highlights tour. It was excellent. We visited the Rosetta Stone, David vase, and in 2 hours instead of 90 minutes, we were introduced to this wonderful museum.

There were 11 interested tourists. The guide should have had a radio guided tour. She is Italian and could not hear or understand her.

Joe gave an excellent, curated tour of the highlights of the British Museum, seamlessly taking us from room to room in a tour that felt more like a story. His background in art, history, and archaeology is wonderful, and he encouraged our questions and participation all throughout. He was professional, friendly, and so knowledgeable. We are very grateful for an awesome tour and highly recommend this tour and Joe as a tour guide!
Some tips for travelers:
-Try to arrive before opening time to avoid long queues
-Be prepared for a security check before admittance
-Your tour guide will meet you at the front steps once you are inside and have gone through security
-There are physical maps but also a wonderful app where you can find more info about a select number of curated objects
-Entrance to the special exhibits is separate
-Photography without flash is allowed
-it is well, well worth it to have a tour guide as opposed to trying to do it on your own. The museum is very big and your tour guide has the knowledge of what the main attractions are and where these are located. He or she will prepare a path for you that will take you to see the most important items at the museum within a context that makes sense and is most enjoyable. Highly recommended!!

Great experience. Joe is very knowledgeable and presents interesting information in a very accessible manner. Only downside is limited amount of museum covered. Mostly Greeks and Egyptians. You can be in the BM for days!
