The wildlife park was fun for all but really geared towards kids with hands on feeding experiences. Plus we got pictures with a koala and that was on our bucket lists. The Blue Mountains are an incredible sight to see! It’s the Grand Canyon of Australia! There are three rides to the top and bottom, all which have stunning views and plenty of photo ops. If you like a little hiking there are several paths with viewpoints that take your breath away! Don’t miss this trip if you come to Sydney for holiday!

I would also like to add that our driver/guide Barry was very knowledgeable about not only the tour factoids but Australia as a whole. His quirky and backhanded comments made the trip so much more than just a bud trip up a mountain… I seriously would hire Barry as a personal tour guide if he was available!

Awesome experience from start to end!

Blue mountains in peak periods requires far more time than the 2.5 hours we got there. We spent 1.5 hours at a wildlife sanctuary then 1.25 hours in a town before we got there. Not sure why we needed to stop in the town. When we got to the blue mountains the queues to scenic world were 40mins to an hour for each ride to do hikes. Unfortunately it was so busy we had to literally run from the scenic railway to the cable car to queue for an hour to just make the coach in time for departure. No time to even grab a fridge magnet from the shop!

This is a solid tour of the areas outside of Sydney. The first stop is the Featherdale Wildlife Center. This is beautifully done and you can get up close and personal (and feed) the padamelons and the wallabys. I could have spent a lot more time here. Then it is off to Leura, a mountain village, where you can buy lunch and shop. The next stop is the Edge overlook. Great views of the Blue Mountains and the Three Sisters. After that, it is the Scenic World, where you can take a cableway or a very steep train down into the forest where once was a coal mine. Finally, you finish the journey on a ferry down the Paramatta river into the Harbor. All very scenic.

That said, our guide was not the typical garrulous Aussie guide with a story a minute. He was pretty quiet. Scenic World can be very crowded. We had to wait a long time to get on the train into the Valley. If I did it again I'd take the Skyway down and the train back because the lines for both were much shorter. And at the ferry, all of the FJ tours end there and there is one ticket machine, so if you do not have an opal pass it is chaotic. It is a long day, but well worth it.

The sights were memorable, but not the actual tour. We could not understand the guide (English speaking, but with an non-English accent). In addition, his microphone did not permit his words to be understood. We were on another tour (non-Viator) guide used a different type of headset microphone, heard him perfectly.

Blue Mountain was very scenic ...
The wild life park was fun for the kids ...
The rides at the scenic site - time was too tight ... very crowded and long wait to do the sky tram, the cable car and the rail ride .... very chaotic scene by the operator - and some families pretending not to understand english were cutting lines on purpose ... they did it the first time on the outbound sky tram, and try to repeat the same on the return line when I finally told them to get on line like every one else, and the Indian mom smirked and stepped back ,,,, so clearly she understood english full well and was just playing dump ....
The return ferry trip was chaotic .... the main drawback of the trip

Too hurry. Unable to see all animals in Featherdale Wildlife Park. Unable to lunch and go to the bathroom in Leura, too short time to do both things. They kept blaming slow service in restaurants but is your duty to organize trip in a proper way. Unable to do all three attractions at Scenic World because we arrived at 15 and return bus at 17. Didn’t go to Echo Point. Changed 3 buses because they broke. One of them without air conditioning in summer. They left us at ferry stop and give us 10$ to do return ticket on our own because they we’re late.
