Our family of six spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day traveling around the white and black deserts and it was a once in a lifetime experience. My kids went sand boarding, spent hours picking obsidian and foraging crystals. We were treated to an amazing Xmas Eve dinner inter the stars and woke to an amazing sunrise. We’re so glad we decided to do this experience and our kids made memories for a lifetime!!!

The tour operator Anas came to my hotel to brief me in person about what can be expected and what needs to be brought along on the eve of the tour though I reached Cairo after my Alexandria tour past 9.30pm and his text messages were very clearly written about the essentials to be brought. This tour was the highlight of my travel to Egypt. It is a shared tour. The Bedouins who were the guide in the desert served the most delicious meal I have ever had in Egypt. Though I am a solo traveller, safety is not an issue with this tour. Anas even texted me while I was still in transit from the desert to Cairo and enquired about how did I find the tour. He made sure I got my change for the entrance fee paid for the White Desert park before I was dropped off at the hotel though it wasn’t a big deal. There are no shower or restroom facilities in the desert. So, come prepared with wet wipes etc. It gets really chilly at night and a good jacket is required. The people in my tour met as strangers in the minivan when we get picked up around Cairo and bid farewell as friends. The bonding among the group was great apart from the picturesque sceneries and a starry naked sky in pitch black darkness filled with hundreds of stars.

Everything about this trip was fantastic. Fist off they tour operater was in communication with us the whole time making she we new when and where to pick up and drop off. It was super easy and straight forward. The trip was amazing. Our driver to get there was friendly and made a few stops on the long drive to the meeting point. Lunch was good nothing special but decent. We then had a walk though of the rest of the day and the next. We then drove to a hot spring where you can get in and soak. Then to the black desert for a great photo. Next to crystal mountain which was really neat to see l. Finally to the best part the white desert. We made a few stops for looking and pictures and wow amazing l! A definite must see. We stopped to watch the sunset then went to our camping site. We had great fire roasted chicken rice and veg for dinner then sat around the fire with some local music. We chose to sleep under the stars (the best option in my opinion) but you can also choose to have a tent set up. It was not the most comfortable sleep I've ever has but the sleeping bags were super cozy and the stars made it worth while. The next day we saw more of the while desert and stopped at another hot spring. Before we met up and got back in our vans for the long ride home. This is a definite must!

Undoubtedly an amazing experience, the white dessert is just mesmerizing, and the sunset and night sky are breathtaking.
We also got the chance to try sandboarding, which was super fun. Our driver Imar (I hope I got it right) was great. He took care of everything and made us a delicious dinner.
The desert is a bit far away, but it’s definitely worth it, such a unique experience.

Black Desert and White Desert were amazing. The view from the top of the Rocky Mountains was also beautiful, but the sunset I saw in the White Desert was something else.it was like being in another world and I could forget everything. It was great experience!

We absolutely loved this tour, everything was taken care of. Great driver to Bahariya and back and great guide in the desert. We were all alone at all the different stops we made. Our guide Mahmoud was also a very good cook. Unfortunately it was cloudy at sunset time but the sky cleared up later in the evening and we got to see the most beautiful stars to sleep under. At the end we asked to drop us off in Giza instead of Caïro where we were picked up, which was no problem at all. This saved us an Uber ride. I highly recommend this tour with Othman Tours!

Must do! Absolutely love the experience and our lovely driver Halid who spoke very limited English really tried to make us feel comfortable. Amazing scenery and sleeping under star blanket is a very unique experience.

It's a long trip from Cairo, but it's totally worth it. The landscape, the immensity, the sand, the nature, the calm, the sky, the food, the drivers, everything was awesome. I enjoyed it a lot, and would totally recommend to spend a night in the desert staring the milky way

This was a very nice experience.
Organization was good. The food was excellent (!). Friendly and attentive people. The guide takes you to beautiful places in the desert.
We chose to sleep outside and even saw a fox at night (sleeping gear was provided).
I highly recommend this trip. Next time I would even go for a longer trip than just 2 days and 1 night.
