Join us under the canopy for a chocolate tasting experience and farm tour. Learn about how cacao is grown and processed and then savor the rich history of chocolate while tasting 10 different single origin bars, all of which originate from different award winning farms around the Hawaiian Archipelago. We will also try fresh cacao juice, roasted cacao beans, cacao tea, and other delectable fruits and treats that are seasonally available around the farm.
Through this experience, you'll come to appreciate the incredible diversity of flavor in single origin Hawaiian Craft Chocolate. Similar to the flavor differences found in wine, craft chocolate is a new frontier in the exploration of terroir - or how genetics and location work together to dramatically influence flavor.
In the cacao industry, Hawaii is known as the Napa Valley for chocolate. By joining this tour, guests will become part of an exclusive group in a flourishing new industry.

The tour was absolutely fantastic. It would give Willy Wonka a run for his money. The knowledge that Colin and Wrenn bring to the table was incredible. These guys put their heart and soul into every bar. Would highly recommend.

Colin & Wrenn's Honolii Orchards' chocolate tasting tour was a deep dive into the evolving world of craft chocolate in an unparalleled setting. Just seeing the chocolate farm with it's breathtaking views of the Hamakua Coast and Hilo Bay was worth the time and value. But add in exquisite chocolate tasting and fascinating history lesson, and you have an unforgettable experience.

This was such a great tour! The guides, Colin and Wrenn, are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Cocoa and chocolate and all the other aspects of the plants, fermentation, and the resulting chocolate bars. The chocolate is also sooooo good! I was never a fan of dark chocolate but now I'm a huge fan of it. I highly recommend doing this tour and buying the manoa chocolate especially the Honili'i Orchards variety. And you may just get to meet Darwin, their super loving farm dog.

This was the best tour of our entire trip. Guides were so friendly and knowledgeable. So many tastings that we were overwhelmed. Can’t imagine anything the hosts can do to make this experience any better.

Fantastic if you really want to understand how Ako is grown and processed into delicious chocolate, which you also get to sample. Super breathtaking site as well. The very knowledgeable guides actually do the work on the farm so they know their stuff.
