Really enjoyed the big bus tour. The map on the Big Bus app made it so much easier to find the bus stops and timings

Too few stops and not close to the actual sites you want to see. Be prepared to walk a long way to see what you're expecting to see. And busses do not run on schedule at all. Be prepared to wait up to 45 minutes for the next bus. And be sure to have the guy who only seems to be selling the tickets on the sidewalk actually scan your ticket before you get on the bus. They don't tell you that when you buy your ticket online or at a kiosk. It's poorly organized and I would never use them again. Looked like the red-white-green I-O busses were more frequent and better organized.

Had to wait a very long time for buses to arrive at each stop. Then they waited too long at each stop. Shut motor off and sat for 10 minutes. Waisted a lot of my time. Audio hard to hear and too many commercials.

I always do the Hop On Hop Off bus on the first day in a new city as I love hearing about all the attractions and finding goods spots. I always go on the Big Bus buses and are usually very happy with them. But this time, when we got on the bus they didn’t drive on the planned route- which would be fine if they said anything about it. But no onward told us and there was no recording so we just sat quietly for 30min. The next time we went on the recording was working and it was good but we wasted quite a bit of time. It also does not really drive close to any attractions, which is understandable but I think in other cities this bus tour is better.

Memorable? Having to get a taxi because we got lost trying to find a bus stop. Yes, we had the app and it quit working at the bottom of the Spanish Steps. We followed a random tour group to the Trevi Fountain but had to spend 25 euros to get to the Coliseum - what would have been our next stop. From there we tried to find a bus stop again - the app not working still - and eventually found a stop. Yes, I rebooted my phone several times to get the app to work. No use. By this point we were running out of time to get back to our cruise ship tour group. We had to wait for over 30 minutes for the next bus. In the mean time 2 other companies each had 2 buses come by. But there we stood waiting for a BigBus. We were so late we had to again get a taxi to our tour meet up point. Another 30 euros. Yes the taxi drivers are scam artists but so is this bus company. They didn’t even have a paper map to give us to use as a back up to the app. I feel that I am owed back either the cost of this bus or the 55 euros I had to spend on taxis. Awful experience.

We bought the 72 hour ticket & used the bus a lot to get to the main sights. Also did the night tour which was great even though it was raining! All bus staff & drivers very friendly. Queues quite long at Termini Station but plenty of buses & the drivers can’t help getting stuck in the very busy Rome traffic

Way too crowded. Buses were not every 15 minutes. Too far to walk from the attraction to the bus stop. Waste of time and money. Ended up taking taxis instead.

I have been on Big Bus Hop on Hop off tours around the world and I found the one in Rome to be the absolute WORST. Finding the stops based on the tiny signs was frustrating. Buses did not follow any schedule because the driver spent far too much time at each stop so my wife and I only made one loop never "hopping off and on" since we were afraid we wouldn't make it back on. Employees at stop #8 were more focused on selling "tours" to passer-bys rather than answering questions and helping us who had already purchased tickets. The advertised VOX system was worthless so we couldn't use the self-guided tour feature. Save your money or try a competitor Hop on Hop off provider but avoid Big Bus at least while in Rome.

Trying to find a single bus stop. Took over an hour and a half very bad computer connection to find the bus stops my number. The headphones sucked and seemed like they were just a big advertisement. Not happy with the trip at all

We had a fabulous time in Rome despite arriving to a thunder and rain weather warning. Khalil, who works for the company was of great assistance to us as we found our way around. Would highly recommend the Big Bus Rome experience
