Poor experience. Offered a discount for a one day tour but tickets issued only allowed us to do one section so not a discount at all. Staff disinterested and rude and smelt of dope. Recording very low quality and you just sit on the major roads in traffic! Don’t waste your money - use the subway it’s really easy to get around.

This was a horrible company! I paid for two days and in two days there wasn't one single driver who was helpful. The audio descriptions (headsets) didn't work on any of the buses. They don't announce the stop so you have to figure it out yourself. Then the bus just stopped for 20 minutes for no reason and we had to sit and wait until they finally restarted the round. I can't say enough bad things about Big Bus hop on hop off. What a miserable experience with this garbage "tour".

The bus tour was ok. They didn't keep an accurate schedule and waiting for a long time got irritating. The recorded stuff was nice. I'd recommend just using the subway and reading your own history. If we actually wanted to get off on any stops that would have been tough with the time schedule. They also didn't stop at every stop they said they would. the app was inaccurate

This was a total waiste of money! We took the downtown tour on tuesday. The bus was stuck in traffic and it all took ages. Then the bus broke down, which of course can happen, but we were left on the sidewalk and had to wait for another bus which was full. The next one the same, but we were allowed to stand downstairs and with the windows sealed of we could not see much. The audiotour was silly, very loud and lacked any sensible information. The next day we tried the uptown tour. We had to wait over 30 minutes for the bus to arrive and when we got on the bus we were stuck in traffic again. We could not understand what the driver was doing, sometimes pulling in and waiting for no good reason. The route was not interesting at all, so we decided to leave the bus, but before that we heard a discussion between driver and passengers about again a mechanical problem. Seems the good money paid does not go towards maintenance! Be advised, don’t book this trip!

I would NOT recommend this service. The narration is horrible and there are no live announcements for the stops. The driver was rude. A complete waste of money.

Horrible! From the ticket agent's lack of customer service, being very aggressive as a salesman to a potential customer (tried several times to grab his credit card out of his hand), bad driving and overall lack of caring, it was a hot mess. I've done these bus tours in three other cities and had great experiences. I'm not sure what's going on in NY.

From the moment I walked up to the stop I had issues. There was a ticket agent standing there issuing tickets to those who had already purchased tickets (like me), but when I walked up to him, he looked at me and walked away to another customer 1/2 way down the block. He must have been working on commission because he was laying it on thick. The guest had more questions but he didn't seem to be bothered in trying to answer them; he just wanted his credit card which he tried a few times to literally take out of the guest's hand. Shame on him! I finally had to walk up to another agent and say "All I need is a ticket to get on the bus. I've already paid!!"

Seating was limited because it was so busy and I had a wait for a few buses to come along before I could get on one.

Once on board, the driving was horrible! Sitting too long at green lights with horns blowing all around, taking corners too sharply, and quite brake happy.

MY RECOMMENDATION - DO NOT TAKE BIG BUS TOURS NYC. THEY CHEAT YOU !!
Here's my experience on 28 April 2024 - We were taken by the itinerary posted on the Big Bus website noting all the stops at Brooklyn Bridge, 911 memorial, Wall Street, World Trade Center. We purchase the 4 tickets online at US$62 per person for the 28 April 2024. We took the 10.15am 28/4 Downtown Loop Big Bus from the first stop M&M Factory. So far so good to STOP #6. ALAS at STOP # 7, all of us in the bus were informed by the driver that the bus will NOT be stopping at stop 8 (Wall Street), #9 (Statue of Liberty/.Battery Park) and 10 (World Trade Center) which were the main attractions we took the Bus Tour in the first place. If we wanted to see this sites, we had to disembark at STOP # 7 and walk our own way to these points. NO EXPLANATION WAS GIVEN!! I had my mother with us who is 82 years old and the reason for the bug bud was to reduce the amount of walking required whilst visiting this sights! THIS WAS VERY DISSAPPOINTING AND BIG BUS NYC TOOK ADAVANTAGE OF ALL OF US IN THIS BUS and WE FELT VERY CHEATED!!. What was more frustrating was that the very next day Aug 29, we visited World Trade Center ourselves, lo and behold we see the same BIG BUS at the STOP 10. So what happen to this driver we took on Aug 28 decided that its customers on his bus did not deserve the full itinerary. I did not take the name of the the DRIVER but he was of Asian descent. What is BIG BUS NYC going to do about this. Do we can any compensation for this loss!!
Very frustrated
Anthony

Chiba Mirai Sightseeing Bus is the worst.
I was left right in front of my eyes!
I want my fare refunded.
It's such a shame.
My long weekend is ruined.
I've given up on going to Tokyo.
Now I'm wondering how I'm going to get through the night until morning.
It's just so disappointing.

It's a scam. The website in French advertises the NYC Essential ticket for 2 days. I purchased that for USD 87 yet were told on board it is actually for one day only. The web ad is misleading and the only solution offered by the personnel for a second day was to buy a new ticket !
