Immerse yourself in the Rome of the Popes, where stories, wonders, legends and reality blur and harmonize with today's Rome.

Highlights of the tour:
On this tour, you will experience "Santa Maria Maggiore", which contains one of the four Holy Doors.
Then we will reveal the hidden basilica "Santa Prasede" and its secrets.
Followed by "San Pietro in Vincoli" where you will see the statue of Moses by Michelangelo and the miraculous chains of St. Peter.
Then we will visit two of the oldest churches in the city:
"Santi Quattro Coronati" with the legend of Pope Sylvester
"San Clemente", dedicated to the fourth Pope "Clemens I"
The tour culminates in a visit to the arch-basilica of "San Giovanni in Laterano", which contains another of the four Holy Doors.

Very interesting tour of Rome churches. Roberto was very knowledgeable about the churches, their history and the relics at each church. Fascinating. We would recommend this tour to any Catholic, Christian or history buffs.

This was a fantastic tour. Roberto was extremely knowledgeable about all of the Catholic churches that we visited. It was an in-depth tour that highlighted many areas of the churches that we would never have seen if we were visiting by ourselves. I highly recommend this tour for any Catholic that wants to learn more about their Catholic faith and its origins. We have been traveling in Europe for many years and have been looking for a tour that was different from all of the others we have taken. This was it!!

My husband and I took this tour with another couple, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. Roberto was our tour guide, very knowledgeable, very respectful and thorough in his descriptions. He answered all our questions. He is a bit soft-spoken, but I think that was appropriate given the setting being churches. We viewed 6 churches ( some big and some tiny) on our tour and walked farther than I thought we would. The tour took us from about 9 AM to 1230, and Roberto was willing to walk us to a place for lunch which was perfect after our extensive tour.

It was a fantastic tour with lots of surprises! Roberto has an inexhaustible knowledge of the history of Rome and especially of the Catholic Church. With successful didactics, authentic enthusiasm and appropriate respect, he was able to convey this knowledge in a way that was focused on the listeners. As the tour progressed, I became increasingly aware of more and more connections until I finally reached the limits of my ability to absorb information. My expectations were far exceeded.

Between Holy Doors Guided tour was our favorite tour in Rome. Roberto’s knowledge and tour planning of each Basilica we visited was amazing. He brought to life what we saw and provided many memories of each. We recommended this tour to everyone we met in Rome. We will definitely be joining another tour when we return to Rome.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable. He was reverent to the places we visited and courteous and willing to answer our questions in detail. We strongly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see sacred parts of Rome besides the usual famous places.

This was an excellent tour. Very in-depth and a great way to learn about several historic churches and their importance to Christianity and to Rome. Roberto is very knowledgeable, a great presenter, and helps you to understand the history of some of the greatest cathedrals in Rome. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone with an interest in Christian history. There is a lot of walking on the tour; however, it is well worth it to see the beauty of these churches
