When you arrive at the meeting point, you'll be greeted by your expert guide, Francesco. He'll provide you helmets and a Vespa that's ready to take you on an adventure. If you've chosen the self-drive option, don't worry - before you hit the road, Francesco will make sure you're comfortable with your scooter during a test drive. With your safety ensured, it's time to rev up your engine and hit the open road! You'll feel the wind in your hair as you explore the rolling hills and cobbled roads of Rome. Along the way, Francesco will guide you to hidden gems and local hotspots that you might not have discovered on your own.
2. Colosseum
Francesco will make a stop at the iconic Colosseum, one of the most renowned monuments in the world. Here, he will provide you with a fascinating history lesson about this ancient wonder. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to capture the memory forever by taking a picture with your Vespa against the backdrop of the Colosseum. 10. Museo Nazionale di Castel Sant'Angelo
The Castel Sant’Angelo Rome was originally built as the tomb of Roman Emperor Hadrian in 135 AD. This mausoleum was eventually converted into a military fortress that protected Rome during the Middle Ages. Since then, it has served as the Papal Residence, a prison during the Renaissance era and now, as one of Rome’s museums. Other than serving as a repository of historical information, it is a site of immense cultural value that houses many sculptures, architecture, frescoes, and more.
11. Piazzale Garibaldi
If you're lucky enough to book the morning tour at 12 o'clock, Francesco will take you to witness an incredible spectacle - the cannon shot on top of the Janiculum. The cannon shot is a daily tradition that dates back to the 19th century, when it was used to synchronize the clocks of the city. As you approach the Janiculum, you can feel the excitement building. Francesco explains the history of the cannon shot and its significance to the city. When the moment arrives, you hear the loud boom of the cannon, and you watch as the smoke clears to reveal a breathtaking view of Rome. 12. Fontana dell'Acqua Paola
Francesco will take you to one of the most breathtaking fountain in all of Rome - the Fontanone. Located at the top of the Janiculum hill, the Fontanone offers a panoramic view of the entire city. As you will approach the Fontanone, the beauty of the view takes your breath away. You can see the winding Tiber River, the dome of the Pantheon, and the majestic VIttoriano in the distance. Francesco will park the red Vespa, and you take a moment to soak in the view. It's truly one of the best panoramic views of Rome, and you will feel grateful to be experiencing it in such a unique way. Francesco then will offer to take a picture of you with your trusty red Vespa against the stunning backdrop of the Fontanone. You eagerly strike a pose, feeling like a true Roman as the camera clicks.
13. Trastevere
Imagine cruising through the winding streets of Trastevere on the saddle of your own vibrant red Vespa. The sun is shining down on you, casting a warm glow over the pastel-colored palaces and cobblestone roads. As you weave through the backstreets, you feel the breeze in your hair and the excitement of adventure in your heart. As you explore the neighborhood, you can't help but be awestruck by the beauty of the colorful flowers in bloom. • DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
• 1. Scooter Driving Skills: For safety reasons, riders must have prior experience. The minimum age requirement is 18 years old.
• 2. Driving License: If you have an EU-issued driving license, it must be category A or B. This requirement also applies to the UK, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Israel, and Switzerland.
• 3. International Driving Permit (IDP): Drivers with a non-EU issued license are also required to hold an International Driving Permit.
• 4. Security Deposit: In order to rent the Vespa, a security deposit of €500 is necessary. This can be paid by credit card or in cash. The deposit serves as a guarantee for the loaned Vespa.
• ⚠️Important Notice: If the driver fails to meet our driving requirements, there will be no refund.
• ⚠️Additional Requirement for US Citizens: US citizens must also bring an International Driving Permit issued by the American Automobile Association.

Really enjoyable way of having a trip through the city. Francesco makes it fun with his quips and gives out history along the way. I don't think we would have gotten to some of the locations without doing this due to the time it would have taken to view them individually. They are only brief stops so for example the Trevi fountain we did manage to fight through the crowds for a coin toss & picture before we set off again just about but this was expected. We did this as our last thing in Rome and I kind of wished we did it first as it would have altered our itinerary. Finishing with riding through Trastevere is great fun dodging the pedestrians which I wouldn't have attempted without having Francesco to follow. I've never ridden a scooter before only geared bikes so it was an experience to get to ride a Vespa.

Best thing we ever did !! We decided to ask to go out in the country in Roma - we each had a driver so we just rode and enjoyed the views - our driver was from Rome so knew the area well and explained interesting places. Highly recommend!!

Francesco was absolutely brilliant. Highly recommend this trip. Loads of info into 3 generous hours broken up by stops so a really good mix of riding through streets and stops at points of interest.
Francesco was very friendly and had a great knowledge of the sights.
My only recommendation is to take a good fitting pair of earphones to fully benefit from the info he gives while riding through the streets as some of the dialogue is lost in the noise of the scooter and hustle and bustle of Rome.

Francesco was the best! Super informative and fun to be around. Rome traffic is a little nuts but we made it through! Got to visit a bunch of places that would have taken days to hit them all by car.
