We booked Alex 5 months prior to our trip after reading all his excellent reviews without a single disappointment. Within the first 15 minutes of meeting up with him in person we knew we had chosen wisely and he lived up to his well deserved reputation. Highly recommend for those who enjoy the personalized custom knowledge experience.

Alex is just so amazing, knowledgeable and funny. I've been on a tour in Pompeii with Alex twice now, and it's been a delight both times. Next up Herculaneum :-)

Fantastic! One of my kids said: “I’d give him 11 out of 10!” Unbelievably knowledgeable and genuine and warm. Love that he gave us his own opinions about different theories on things. Great with my kids. We couldn’t have asked for better. And we absolutely loved being there in the late afternoon from 4 PM and it was quiet and perfect - don’t hesitate, book this !

Alex is hands down the best tour guide I have ever had. He is patient answering questions, and his knowledge of Pompeii is staggering.

The tour wasn’t cheap, but it was worth every penny. You will take away more in 2 hours with Alex than you would in a month of group tours.

Pompeii is fascinating, but would just not have been the same without Alex. His passion for the place, his personality... the whole experience was enhanced in every way by Alex's touch. Perfect with out two teenagers and fun for all of us. Wouldn't want to see Pompeii in any other way. Thank you Alex!!

Alex was very knowledgeable and personable. The tour included myself and two children, 10 and 7, and he was absolutely great with them! One of the best tour guides we have experienced on our trip to Italy! Highly recommend!

Amazing experience, highly recommend Alex! If you are reading this don’t hesitate to book with him, you won’t find better. We had a lot of guides while travelling and Alex was our fav, hands down! He is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, fun and knew all the spots to see and somehow managed to avoid the crowds.

Alex was fantastic, informative but not too much in the detail, having gauged what we wanted. Took us away from the crowds, but enabled us to really get a feel for life in the days of old Pompeii. What a great trip. Highly recommend Alex as a guide.

Our tour was with Antonio as Alex was not available, although we did bump into Alex & said hello.
Antonio was a fantastic guide, having grown up in Pompeii he was able to give a great perspective on the site.
Other people have said that he bought history to life - I can agree with that. So much so, my husband asked of the cherubs in the murals did indeed exist. He blames the sun & Antonio's rich descriptions for this!

Our tour lasted much longer than the 2 hours & we were enthralled throughout.
It is such an experience having a personal guide, more like walking the site with a friend than anything else.

So, thank you to Antonio. We look forward to returning one day & visiting more of Pompeii.
