This is probably the worst tour I have ever booked with Viator. We were taken to the lake and herded like cattle into a commuter boat. There was no place to sit. People were standing on the upper decks. This is probably against EU safety requirements. We found a spot to sit but it turned out to be restaurant section. The waiter yelled at us to order food and drinks in order to be allowed to sit there. Our only option was to sit on the floor or stand for the entire 2 hour trip. We offered to order drinks but that was not enough. The boat continued to pick up more and more people at various stops and the situation got worse. When I complained to the tour guide she said we could get off the boat and go back to the hotel on our own if we did not like the situation. This has never happened to us before on any viator trip. She also said the tour description did not mention a place to sit on the boat!! She gave us just enough time to have lunch in Bellagio with no time to explore. We would have been better off taking public transportation to Como and riding the boat on our own . It would have been much cheaper and more interesting. Veditalia is doing false advertising in their tour description. Thge tour description said Como, Bellagio and Ghisallo. There was no stop in Ghisallo.

Great trip, Como and Bellagio were beautiful. Wish we had more time in Bellagio, the ferry ride was great, overall an awesome experience.
The tour guide Alex was great, very knowledgeable and personable making the experience even better.

The problem with this trip was you only saw the town of comp for about 45 minutes and then had to board the boat for two hours which is way too long especially in the winter months! From the description I thought we would have way more time to explore which just wasn’t the case. Bellagio was a great village but you had more time there and I took no time to see the whole village! Overall it just was too much time in the bus and cost and not enough time to actually explore!

The scenic boat trip from Como to Bellagio was undoubtedly the highlight of the day, culminating in a fantastic lunch in Bellagio. But we did enjoy our brief stop in Como, with its magnificent cathedral, as well as shopping in Bellagio, where there were some quite exclusive shops with leather and silk goods. Very tempting! On the drive back to Milan, we took the scenic route, including spectacular views of Lake Como from the heights above. All in all, a wonderful day out.

It was a drizzly and foggy day and that really impacted our ability to enjoy this tour. It was a small group (11) and a nice bus (although we had a 45 minute stop in order for a mechanic to come and do something to fix the an overheating problem). Our guide, Francesco, was very friendly, did a good job of taking care of us, and giving us all of the important information. Unfortuantely, his microphone kept shorting out, so he was restricted to talking to us when we were together. I was disappointed in the city of Como and it is not an important part of the day. The boat ride was fine, but it was tough to see a lot and take in the great views because of the fog and rain. We did get to see George and Amal Clooney's villa; Richard Branson's villa, and the villa where Casino Royale and one of the Star Wars movies were filmed. Bellagio was lovely and a great place to take in the views, the scene, do some shopping, and grab lunch. Unfortunately, the scenic stops on the ride back, were fogged in. I did enjoy the Small Santa Maria church with all of the bicycle memorabilia. It was different and memorable. While the weather was an issue, I would recommend a different itinerary, since there is not much to do and see in town of Como.

This was the most disappointing tour, the guide told us nothing on the hour drive to the ferry.
Maybe some history of Milan, Italy , anything. Total silence. As instructed, we followed her like mice behind her red flag, to where we where to meet at certain times. That is all that she spoke. Upon boarding the ferry, that was not the “boat” expected, we all scattered to find a seat, since we where on board with other tour groups. We where lucky to get a seat outside and up top.
As we found out, this was literally just a ferry ride, no “tour” guide info. Then we stopped at many other ports and picked up more people! The last hour was spent standing up and down to see anything because so many people where on board, they just stood in front of our seats, sat and stood on the stairs. No reasoning with them, not even the Italian speaking people could get through to them that we paid to “sight see” not see other people’s backs.
After we arrived back on land, we searched for the guide. We had the head sets, but she gave no word as to where to find her. Finally as a group we moved on to other sights, with no info given on what we where seeing. Just “ here is a nice view”
And to add to the frustration, we got into Sunday traffic, cars as far as you could see.
Needless to say we where an hour late arriving back.
The only good thing about this trip was seeing some homes from the water .

Out tour guide Anna was more interested in talking to the driver and not the clients. She shared the bare minimum of info and seemed to be glad to dump us in towns and run. The PA system was basically inaudible except for the return when the driver chatted the entire time with Anna and conversation was on the speaker. The longest conversation that Anna had with us was at the end, telling us how hard it was to make a living in Milan. Why didn’t she just ask straight out for a tip?
