The Daphni Monastery was founded towards the end of the sixth century A.D. on the site of the Sanctuary of Apollo which had been desecrated by the Goths in 395. The Sanctuary of Apollo was built in the Ionic style using the thinnest and smallest columns. The columns stand on a base with an ornamental scroll at the top. A few of the columns of the temple have been preserved. One of the four Ionic columns of the ancient Sanctuary of Apollo remains at the site, as it was re-used in the Daphni Monastery. The other columns were removed and taken to London by Thomas Bruce, Earl of Elgin (of Elgin Marbles fame). The columns, column bass, and column tops from the Sanctuary of Apollo are currently in the possession of the British Museum.

a) We can pick up customers from where ever they want inside in the region of Athens,aibnb,hotels,metro stations,bus stations,apartments.We just need after the booking a short communication to agree the pickup point.
b) The pick up point can be Also from the Cruise Terminal or the Ath Int Airport.Please provide to us as soon as possible details like Name of the ship / airline , arrival time and number of flight.Please also provide us any other details you need about your pick up.
c) If there is a Strike in The city Center or a special event that effects the tour,the tour may change start time or ITINERARY under the instructions of the operator and the agreement of the customer
d) Please provide as much as possible contact details to the operator even after the booking
e) Please mention to the operator if there are Health restrictions
f) If the booking will start from Ath Int Airport the time of the tour start to count from the pickup of the customer,so do not stress your self in cases of Delay of flights
g) If the tour is combined with a transfer the Maximum Luggage ( american size 32kl) can be no more than 3 and the start time of the tour starts at the time of the first pickup eg :( There is a customer that buys a tour starting from Cruise terminal but first he/she wants to be transferred to his Hotel to do the check in and then to start the tour. ) if the customer wants extra services than the ones that paid for,the operator will charge him extra and the payment will be done to the driver in cash or credit card.

Touring the ruins was fantastic. Our tour guide, Pantelis, was extremely knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure that our trip was fantastic.

Sensation made the most of our time and the holiday crowd and shared a lot of history as well as seeing the top sites in Athens. The lunch was a wonderful way to end the tour with a wonderful array of amazing food.

Wow, what a great tour! We were picked up by Apostolos (Tolos) in a Mercedes sedan and driven to the highlights of Athens. He even gave us a brief history of the sights, clear directions on how to enter the attractions, and the lunch was enormous! I suggest you buy skip-the-line tickets for the Acropolis in addition to this tour because the line gets long and Tolos wanted us to spend 1 hour there. Highly recommend!

Our tour guide was by far a highlight of the trip. Theodores was so enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the history of Athens and even American history that tied into theirs, we got to see so much of the city so quickly but it felt like we gained so much. We stopped to eat and had a taste of traditional cuisine until we couldn’t eat anymore. Theodore’s also helped us get to the airport the next day and gave us several recommendations for our stay.

Theodore was amazing!! He took us to all the main places and gave us such great information before we got to each venue so we knew what to look for and the history behind it! He even stopped at a venue I mentioned of the Monument of the Unknown Soldier and got us there just before the changing of the guards. He really made it a great experience for us and the restaurant was also amazing! You need to go on this tour before leaving Athens. We would have been lost without Theodore to guide us!!
